Introduction.

Offensive style battling is my favorite style of playing, ever since the the start of pokemon (my n00b days) I have always liked offensive over defense, now since I have become better playing, I have acquired many pokemon which has helped me make many teams, mostly offensive teams, and this is my third team that I have had success with, from lurking on smogon, most of my teams are based off the ones I liked they but I have modified them for my own satisfaction.

With this team, I have taken a different approach.

Bronzong @ Shed Shell*****Baron
Ability:Levitate
EVs: 252 Hp/152 Atk/8 Def/96 Sp.Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake

My Stealth Rock user that beats a lot of common leads, and I have the appropriate switch-ins for the ones I can't beat. I usually like to use Hypnosis first, then Stealth Rock on the switch against other Bronzong's or pokemon like Swampert, he's my main Metagross counter as well as other things like Tyranitar. Believe it or not he's one of my main Scarf/SpecsTran switch-ins as he resists Ground/Ice/Grass/Dragon and they rarely Fire Blast as I have too many resists, but if they do happen to use Fire Blast I can usually see them coming.

Salamence @ Life Orb*****Sparta
Ability: Intimidate
EV's:112 Atk/ 144 Spe/ 252 Sp.Atk
Rash nature (+Sp.Atk, -Sp.Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- Brick Break

My main wall breaker and mixed attacker. SkarmBliss, GlisBliss, CeleTran, and a bunch of other wall combo's fall to this mighty dragon. Many people sacrifice their pokes to him in hopes of Sand Stream + Stealth Rock + Life Orb killing me, only to have me Roost in their face.

Gliscor @ Leftovers*****NightWing
Ability: Sand Veil
Impish nature (+Def, -Sp.Atk)
252 HP/ 4 Atk /252 Def
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Aerial Ace
- Taunt

My main Heracross counter, with Aerial Ace, Heracross is going down easily, I have decided to use Taunt over Stealth Rock and Knock so I can prevent Skarmory from setting up, Weezing from using WoW and Gyarados from Dragon Dancing, which is risky because I have to Taunt him on a Switch in.

Mesprit @ Leftovers*****Verity
Ablility: Levitate
EV's: 252 Hp/176 Def /80 Sp.Atk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- U-Turn

Mesprit deserves a lot more love than it's currently getting. BoltBeam destroys water and dragon pokemon both, and Psychic is good STAB and gets Heracross switch-ins and nails Machamp. There is absolutely no way I would give up U-Turn, as unlike Cresseila, it allows me to hit Tyranitar switches and go to a counter, rather than die to Pursuit.

Tyranitar @ Life Orb*****Light
Ability: Sandstream
EV's:4 HP/252 AtTK/252 SPD
Hasty nature (+Spe, -Def)
-Dragon Dance
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam

My Metal gear Tyranitar, also the best Tyranitar set, period, after one Dragon Dance he outspeeds base 115's and can sweep teams with ease, so many people have been taken by surprise with this set, mainly cause they believe that Tyranitar does not have Ice Beam.

Hasty Nature ensures that I am able to 1HKO Gliscor and hurt other pokemom like Grass and Dragon which would switch in on a Dragon Dance or Earthquake.

Metagross @ Lum Berry*****MetalMad
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 112 HP/184 Atk/212 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Explosion
- Earthquake

While using this set, I have an answer to Gengar and Deoxys - E, really simple, I switch in on Gengar or Deoxys E, they switch out, I pursuit and they are dead, this thing has really helped me gain the upper hand against people that use Gengar or Deoxys - E as a lead, most Deoxys - E leads I have faced have been offensive leads, I don't know how well he would do against the DS set though.

Reserve Pokemon

Heracross @ Choice Scarf*****TheEnd-2
Ability: Guts
EV's: 4 Def/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Toxic

Choice Scarf over band for speed, this is the definition of a beast. Although he lacks the power provided by Choice Band, Heracross is still a threat to the opposing player. He outspeeds almost everything aside from other Choice Scarf users and Deoxys-S, of course with the Scarf attached and still boasts an Attack of 383.

No comments, looks good.

The only reason is because Azelf outclasses it in so many ways, and pulls this set so much better. Also, It seems you have a tank without the tank, as you have no concrete way to heal, other than lefties, and you'll be taking damage more than you can heal.

Why hasty? Why not Jolly, as it does so much better without impacting defense.

You really don't have to worry about Deoxys-E, as it's uber... again. Other than that, still nice, although if you're so worried about suicide leads, than why isn't this a lead? Plus, 99% of suicide leads have a Sash, so explose, and you are still screwed.

Okay, why Toxic on a Choice? I'd go for something like EQ or something like that, because unless you predict switches perfectly, and Toxic the switch after you've Toxic'd, than you've got luck, Fail, and Pursuit says hi.

Considering he's a Heracross, there's likely going to be some switching going on, though Dusknoir usually have Restalk if they're trying to out maneuver Heracross.

Earthquake isn't even that great of a move for any fighting Pokemon to have. Why Heracross would use Flail on a non-Sub/Endure set is beyond me, especially when it has the far superior Reversal.

Anyway, I'd make a comment on DD Tyranitar being called the best set ever but you seem to have its other counters dealth with. Also Midnight, it has Hasty so that Ice Beam isn't weakened, and the small paragaraph previous to your comment outlines the reasons as to why it is Hasty.

Mesprit also isn't out to sweep, its out there to counter. Let's see an Azelf who can take hits.

Now for my own rate:

For Metagross, I wouldn't really use Lum Berry. I assume its being used to save you from Gengar's Hypnosis? You may switch in and get healed, but Gengar is still faster than you and would likely go for another Hypnosis. I was more or less thinking having a Restalker or something.

Your team seems great, and sets up other unsuspecting Pokemon. Too bad Mesprit doesn't have recover, but atleast Psychic helps get rid of one of Tyranitar's best counters imo.
