Granted I have a faint impression the fan base around Bulbagarden, I have seen a few people in the chat admit to their liking it.

For those of you who ARE NOT fans of the show, now is the time to become interested! I'll be the first to admit the premise becomes silly at time, but the drama is good. 24 (with the exceptions of House and Prison Break) is quite possibly the BEST programming Fox has churned out in recent years.

24 is a real time drama. Each episode is one hour of a twenty-four hour day. There are typically large gaps between each season, allowing for character development.

Season 1 began and ended at 12am.
--18 Months--
Season 2 began and ended at 8 am.
--3 Years--
Season 3 began and ended at 1 pm.
--15 Months--
Seasons 4 began and ended at 7 am.
--18 Months--
Season 5 began and ended at 7 am.
--*Around 20 Months. Subject to change.*
Season 6 will *possibly* begin and end at 6 am.

Season 6 begins January 14th, 2007 at 8 PM EST with a two-hour premiere. This will be followed by another two hours on January 15th at 8PM. Then 24 return to it's normal timeslot at 9 pm Mondays on Fox.

A special web trailer for Season 6 will be shown at 3PM EST TODAY (October 24th). This will give clues as to what happens next season. Go to http://www.24trailer.com/ to see it!

Please tell me there are some fans here I don't feel fanatical :p. Who's you're character? What's the best episode?

Heh kill me for saying that I've never watched 24 before despite me knowing full well that it is a very good show. Wow, six seasons it's gone on for, and hopefully it will have six more.

Go rent some DVD's and experience the goodness =o.

Season 5 comes out on DVD December 5th.

I was really really bummed out that they announced that they weren't going to film 24 in New York City like they hinted that they were going to do a while back. I would have really liked it if they filmed a Day with CTU New York City and CTU Los Angeles working on a common threat that affected both cities. The claustrophobic and dense urban landscape of NYC would be a nice complement to the bright and sprawling urban terrain of LA.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The LA-centric nature of the show is one of the major downsides.

However, the plus side is that the "threat" this time around is more widespread. The terror attacks are happening in multiple locations: St. Louis, Boston, San Antonio.
