Why not? We have one for May and Ash.....

Brock is odd, he currently has no reason to leave or stay.

I think he may leave, as he has been around forever.

EDIT: Yes, I realised I spelled Debate wrong...

We have absolutely nothing to go on on this one. (Even Max is assumed to follow his sister.)

It could go either way at this point.

No idea, there really is nothing pointing toward him either way. A good thing for him staying is there is apparently no-time for a "farewell" episode for him, unless they rush in some crappy reason as to why he has to stay at the Gym in AG191.

Eh, I think he'll stay. The calendar may be indication but for some reason I'm not allowed to use it as possible evidence. Oh well.

I remeber in the Pokecenter episode, Oak was talking to Brock about something when they were helping that Wooper..

What was it?

And of course, their is the PikeShippers.....

The trouble with PikeShipping is that Brock doesn't know that Lucy likes him. Scott didn't give him a message from her so there's no reason for him to go to Fuschia City.

I can see him getting a phone call from his siblings to return to the Gym, though.

I don't know about this one. The only thing I'm wondering here is how long it's going to take Pie to find this and come up with some contrived reason Brock has to stay.

Max was kinda the new Tracey....

I liked Tracey though

Hey, now, you know there's a difference between myself and Scott.

I am painfully aware of the fact that there is nothing giving the smallest hint about Brock's fate, and we probably will not know anything about his future until the last few minutes of the last AG episode. T_T

I just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope he stays.

Hey, now, you know there's a difference between myself and Scott.

Except for that fact that May, even though the anime hasn't announced it yet, HAS marketing potential in Shinou via the Super Contests. Munchlax is also plastered over everything in Japan, and even though so many more D/P Pokes have been revealed, it's still a prominent D/P Pokemon. I'm just working off the games since we know the anime is nothing more than a commercial of it.

Brock has no quest so we have no idea if he'll be kept. The only thing that may be going for him is his Bonsly, but even that has rotted in its Pokeball over the last couple of months.

We'll see soon enough.

No problem.

But really, there isn't much of anything to debate here - there's no evidence either way, and there won't be evidence either way until the moment the choice happens.

Though I guess we could debate the fact that there was no implication of him leaving in the Pokémon Center episode. But then again, it was just a lot of fan speculation in the first place that he would decide to stay there and help the sick Nurse Joy or the Nurse Joy would suddenly break the rules of the Pokémon universe and fall in love with him or blah blah blah insert theory here.

EDIT: Scott - if you can use Super Contests as an excuse for May staying, then perhaps I can use the fossil digging games as an excuse for Brock staying. =P

Yes, they do try to advertise the games - but let's face it, the two are completely different canon, and you really do seem to be stretching for reasons for May to stay.

Ah, and Bonsly - I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope Bonsly stays as well. It's newer and cuter than Munchlax.

I really want him to leave, but unfortunately it seems like he has nine lives with the writers... six more lives to go... :(

I was thinking upon this, and came to the general consensus that it really is up in the air.

Wouldn't it be interesting if they switched Brock out for Tracey? Perhaps Oak needs help in the Pokemon breeding department. Then we'd have the team of Ash, Tracey, and Hikari, which would add up to some interesting interaction that we haven't seen before.

You guys seem to think that anything is possible, it really isn't.

Tracey is simply not popular enough with the audience to warrent a return. He also has no need to, as he's happy where he is.

The writers only make cast changes based on popularity or if they need to advertise something from the new games.

Some of you act like they throw all the characters names into a hat and pick out one blindfolded and that decides who stays and who doesn't. The show doesn't work that way, I'm afraid.

People need to stop treating the Pokemon anime like their own fanfiction and actually think realistically about what's going to happen. Factor in all the new features we know of in the D/P games, the introduction of Hikari, the roles the characters played in AG, and how popular each character is with the audience.

Put all that in a blender, and you can make a pretty good guess as to what the cast will be next saga.

I think I should say that both Bonsley and Munchlax have the Marril factor, even worse because they are pre-evolutions of Old Pokemon. Meaning when they evolve the loose their effect.

I really think Brock should leave. I like brock but he's been present for so many seasons, and he seems to play less and less as a baby sitter now (Which is what I considered his role at first, because he basically took care of them like younger brothers/sisters) since Ash is being more independant.
