Use this thread for anything to do with religious winter celebrations, New Years, gift-giving, winter weather and everything in between!

As always, be respectful to everyone regardless of which celebrations they choose to partake in.

So, to open the topic, what gifts are we giving this year?

I really only buy for my parents, and this year I've bought the following:

For my Dad - A Bette Midler CD he wanted, a Scotland & WW2 book, foot scrub kit.
For my Mum - A set of hairbrushes, a necklace (she chose) and a bracelet (again, she chose.)

I usually don't get my parents anything ^^; I don't know what to get them without them saying its a waste of money

For Midori - she'll find out :>
What I'm gonna get for my other friends consists of a Psycho-Pass poster, an accessory of some sort, and...that's kind of it XD

I think we all can agree that peppermint bark is the best part of this time of year.

For my mum: Two tops, some perfume and a skirt. I'm also thinking of buying her some more tropical fish as we've had a few deaths and the tank is looking a bit empty now.

Brother 1: Cologne, Sniper Elite for the PS4, some pajamas and two t-shirts

Brother 2: Some DVDs, Cologne, and some pieces of merch based on shows and games he likes.

Still need to buy some things for other people.

For muh ma: a Star Trek Next Generation communicator pin

For muh pa: a University of Oklahoma baseball cap

For muh bro: something Squirtle-related (his favorite Pokemon)

For muh sis-in-law: something from Sgt. Frog (her favorite anime series)

I have to work on new years eve and day. I probably won't be able to sleep because of the fireworks. XD

Ah gifts, my fave part is deciding just who to get gifts for, and what to get them. My family is rather huge and last year I got small gifts for my cousins and the like but this year I think I'll only buy gifts for immediate family and of course friends.

Mom: Pandora Charms (Last year I bought her bracelet and first charm so I think it's finally time to spruce it up more).
Dad: No idea, he's the type of guy who's happy if I'm happy so I was thinking I could bake him something.
Sister: Cosmetics most likely, or a Pandora Charm as well.
Brother: Maybe a giftcard so he can get a game or two.

This is all I've got planned thus far though.

I've only bought one gift so far and I must admit I'm starting to panic because I don't know what to get for anyone - my family are impossible to buy for.

The one thing I have bought is Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for my sister. I won't be playing Omega Ruby until Christmas so that we can start our games together.

I don't have idea for gifts.

But I like the Christmas spirit, preparing the celebrations!

You're not alone. I'm sure there's millions of people starting to panic over it now. My family are also very difficult to buy for and it gets harder every year.

Eh, Bah humbug. I don't bother and haven't for several years now.

I'll be at home alone, drinking, eating pot noodle and playing Mortal Kombat. It's my tradition and i love it. Think i've been doing that for the past 5 years.

New year's is very diffierent though. I like to spend time with lots of people for that.

Same here! I just love the season.

I don't have money to actually get gifts, but I always bake cookies for everyone at this time of year, so I guess that's something!

In Christmas I play Mariah Carey discography 24 hours! haha

So what y'all asking Santa and his Delibirds for Christmas?

My parents are giving me £100 to spend on amazon, so I'll get a bunch of CDs, a pair of earphones, maybe a film or two. Nothing concrete yet.

I'm poor so this is my best idea for Christmas' presents for my little brother and my cousins.

Buy some little Christmas socks *I get them on sale* and fill them with candies :3.

I maybe will bake some cookies too.

Nothing wrong with that :) I think that's a lovely present for anyone to get.

I think that's a really cute idea! :) I personally love getting candy on Christmas.

I'm hoping to get ORAS at least. Other than that, if I were to get any money I'd probably buy a book or CD and save the rest!
