Official "FFXIII goes Xbox360" thread

Haven't checked here in a while, but I am utterly shocked to see that not one thread has surfaced about this week-old news. Not on this page, not on the second page, am I missing something?

So, what do you all think? I personally don't care as I don't have either system, but I'll probably end up getting a PS3 since I've only ever owned sony systems and so what if it's more expensive, more used to the Sony controller and I see myself getting into PS3 games more than X360 games.

It was discussed a lot in the E3 thread.

My thoughts: It's probably Square-Enix covering themselves for the lackluster PS3 sales in the US and EU while the 360 dominates the installed console base. Evidenced by them not doing a 360 version for Japan, where it's the reverse, and the 360 cannot seem to pick up a lot of steam.

Though I still think it's kinda silly that they wouldn't release it in Japan too. They have nothing to lose since the port is already made and may have some small gains for people in Japan who do own a 360.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the end, and what kind of FFXIII the 360 gets, because it appears that it's being done as an afterthought. Well, really... it'll be interesting to see what kind of FFXIII everyone gets period, because we've seen nothing but the same CGI footage over and over and over.
