I didn't really know what thread to make to discuss for Pokemon Smash tomorrow, so I just made this here so we can discuss the show whenevr B2/W2 news is on the show!

We'll be seeing our first gameplay footage on the 04/15 Smash episode within 24 hours, with White Kyurem vs Black Kyurem, the first promotional video for the game, and also the cast members + Masuda having a playthrough of the game!

Im hoping we'll see that the back sprites are fixed when we see the two Kyurem's battling, and Im hoping the promotional video will reveal the antagonists. I mean, I'm sure its Team Plasma, but it'll be nice to see if Ghetesis is back etc. Im also hoping that the playthrough isn't just them walking through the home town for like 30 seconds!
 
The game looks great!

I wonder what the battle place is with all the crowds? Reminds me of the battle dome! What is that Pokemon that the protagonist approaches at 1.00?

I wonder if the trailer verbally revealed any new info if anyone can translate?
 
All the evil team members have orange hair...so I'm guessing they're the Plasma remnants.

Possibly. Their outfits don't look nearly as outrageous this time around.

Also, at 1:05, doesn't that look like Lenora's Gym? Just recoloured?
 
I think that's meant to be the underground entrance to the Poison Gym Leader's club, given the placement of it in the video right after the two Gym Leaders are mentioned.

Very interested in the Super Sentai-stuff. And is that a Tournament taking place when Akuroma walks up the walkway to face the PC?
 
It looks like not only are animated sprites returning but every trainer may be getting an animated sprite. How fantastic!

That's true, the statues are purple so it would make sense. I thought it looked familiar, though.
 
Trailer looks good and its nice seeing the trainers are now animated.

Please don't tell me that they have replaced Team Plasma with someone else. I'm really hoping that the black suits are linked to the Shadow Triad.

That would be cool. Like, some lost cause to call Ghetsis back to Unova. It's a possibility especially with the possibility of removing the triad due to the introduction of Shuizi.

Who are these people in black? The red hair could point to Plasma remnants. The black outfits don't remind me of the Shadow Triad. But they do remind me of Team Rocket. If these people are Plasma remnants, then it would be ironic, given their criticism of Team Rocket.

I've read a theory that it's some Team Rocket x Plasma mix.
 
I like how they seem to be wearing berets. It makes them look kinda military-ish.

Also, I mentioned this in another thread here, but it got kinda washed over by the rest of the conversation. You get to use a green screen at the movie theater/studio place! Does that mean we get to make movies with our Pokemon or something?

Since we have new player characters, a new rival, new gym leaders, and new cities, it wouldn't surprise me if Plasma aren't the main antagonistic team in the game and we get a new one instead.

I really don't want GF to choose that path though, as Ghetsis, N and the rest of the Plasma story have far too much left unanswered and it just wouldn't feel right. I'm starting to think they may be taking this "sequel" thing too far... :/
 
Well, since we do have the trailer now I'm not that excited for Smash as I was a few days ago, but I still hope TrollMasuda shows us something new and interesting. (if it's another Pichu forme I swear I'm going to kill this guy with my bare hands)

I'll be pretty peeved if they just drop the Plasma storyline. I'm already not too pleased with the new player characters.
