Here we can ask others (maybe other people have seen an episode that you haven't) or speculate about "dropped" areas (plotlines, gags, etc.) of the Pokemon Anime. Try not to bring up points that are too obvious like "What happened to Misty/May/Ash's father"

Here is one that comes to mind:

Jigglypuff scenes: Why don't they still use the Jigglypuff theme song every so often?? I know it got old, but it would be nice to have it every now and then.

They don't use the Jigglypuff theme song because Jigglypuff isn't there anymore. Besides, I think in SInnoh, it's like beating an extremely dead horse.

Ash and his friends brought the GS ball to Kurt in "Going Apricorn", but they never went back to get it. So yeah, we never found out what was inside the GS ball....

You know, it's odd how the writers just abandoned that plotline, especially when it seemed so important back in Orange Islands and Johto Journeys. =O

They should bring Jigglypuff back at least one more time. We haven't seen it in like 5 years.

>_< that would be nice, to see Jigglypuff just randomly show up in Sinnoh for like, one episode. I would laugh so hard if that happened. X3

What happened to TR getting their backstory shown? We've really only seen things from James' past since Houen started, and even that was mostly just random events from his past instead of meaningful scenes. We had a bunch of TR backstory back in Kanto, and there was a bit of it in Johto even, but for the several years after that we've seen nothing.

Of course, it could be that the writers realized that TR's backstory is a gigantic mess, and that it only gets worse as they add more, but I still think it'd add a nice bit of depth to TR if we started seeing backstory from them again. Not that Pokemon's ever been all that concerned about having complex characters. :p

And for the record, I don't see what the big deal is with Jigglypuff. Throwing it in the anime now, even just once, wouldn't accomplish much aside from a pointless bit of nostalgia. If they really want to make us think back to the Kanto days, how about having Ash battle those trainers he promised he'd meet again? There's something we probably won't see even if they give us the GS Ball, Pidgeot, Butterfree, Primeape, Brock's Heavy Ball, and the return of Butch and Cassidy as serious villians!

Episode 73, when Musashi releases Dokucale, is basically a giant character episode.

When Musashi was a student, she and a couple of her friends were to pursue a career in music by auditioning for a musical of some sort. Meanwhile, Musashi is also friends with a boy who wants to become a coordinator, and he asks Musashi to come with him. She opts to perform and finds out that her friends made it past the auditions, but she was turned down. She then decided to travel with the boy and become a coordinator herself, but it was too late, and he was already leaving.

This is what drives her to become a coordinator, and I'm guessing it's brought up in this episode because she used Dokucale in the first contest she won. There's also a boy who looks exactly like her childhood friend, who has a shiny Dokucale, and the two Dokucale end up mating.

Shiny Dustox is then captured by Dr. Wiseman. If you'll remember, he's the guy who tried to catch Ash's Noctowl back in Johto.

Jiggly never had its story resolved, it keeps looking for people to hear its song but it never got to do it. The Whismur it sang to also fell asleep and then we never saw it again.

They brought Delibird back after 5 years, I'm sure they can do the same with Jigglypuff

...It's pretty sad that I forgot that ALREADY, especially since I liked that ep a lot. One non-James meaningful characer/backstory development ep in five years is still a lot less than we used to have, though.

True, but Jigglypuff was never as big of a deal as, say, the GS ball, and it keeps popping up in these sorts of threads anyway. That one BF ep that had a Jigglypuff in it that wasn't THE Jigglypuff didn't help anything, I'm sure.

Then again, it was a bigger deal than Delibird, so I can see what you mean with that. Overall...I suppose I should be thankful that this thread has more posts about Jigglypuff than about the GS Ball. :p

Jiggly is still important enough to be in Smash Bros, I still hope it'll get at least one more appearance at some point. I want to see Dawn's reaction when Jiggly draws on her face with the marker. :p

Staravia and Hapinny know Brave Bird and Secret Power respectively, yet they haven't used those moves since they learned them!

What ever happened to Delia? She hasn't been seen since like DP003!

Why bring up Delia? She hasn't appeared in any episode except when Ash is actually back home or he's in some great tournament, etc.

What happened to the ... good voice that Eric Sturat has as James?? When did he start using that voice that he started to use before 4Kids lost their licence...

If you listen to Indigo James and the James from Hoenn it's so much different

There was an interview or something that stated that Celebi was inside the GS Ball, but they scrapped that idea in favor of the fourth movie.
