Hihi, people! I'm new here to the forums, but I've been a longtime fan of the Pokemon games. I was vaguely interested in the anime and the TCG, but the games were always my preferred choice, although funnily enough, I managed to entirely skip the second generation and nearly missed the third generation because my family was broke and I didn't have the GameBoy Color or a GameBoy Advance until just a couple of years ago. (I still have my old Red and Yellow versions laying around...)
Only in the past few months have I started to seriously get myself interested in the maths and strategy involved in the games. When I look at them like that, I feel a bit more like my usual D&D-geek self.
As for about me in general? Well, I'm a writer. A fantasy and worldbuilding geek, so I tend to look at the Pokemon world (as presented in the games, rather than the anime) as an interesting exercise for fans to build on. I'm prone to rambling, and may occasionally try my hand at artwork, traditional or pixel, and sometimes even come up with something half-decent to show for it. I'm fairly happy and sometimes even bouncy, but don't be fooled - I have a morbid imagination. Possibly why I love ghost-types so much...
As a side note, I was partly inspired to join the online Pokemon fandom after an artist friend that I watch opened up a forum for his Pokemon-based webcomic, CharCole. And the final push happened when a local friend showed me this forum
