If you haven't noticed a pattern yet, yes, I'm revamping all the templates used on the Pokémon pages. Soon enough, all will be done and ready for the release of BW this fall.

Anyway, [bp=User talk:TTEchidna/Availability]here's the new availability template[/bp]. I'm doing you guys a favor and not changing parameters so we don't have to go around fixing things. You're welcome.

Currently, the Gen V part only appears for Gen V Pokémon, since we have no freaking clue about any past Pokémon, and I know how much everyone whines about "LOLZ IT SEZ TRADE ONLY" when that's the default message if someone hasn't entered in anything. So we're not gonna be letting old Pokémon get the Gen V section until we get locations for them all in Isshu. OKAY? GREAT.

As always, post opinions here and on the talk page.

To tell you the truth, I liked the old one better. This one looks messy and less organized. I liked how the previous one had equal spacing for each area. This one confuses me. Cant think of a better explanation :/

today i noticed the revamp done on the type weakness template and then just found this... and I like it. It looks very spiffy and it's a lot more visually appealing than the old one because of the rounded edges and such. :3

good work, TTE! <3

The old one's not staying by any stretch. This fandom, I tell ya. Whined about the physical/special split...

Your not suggesting that Im a nostalgiafag are you? Im quite offended if you are.

I like it. I didn't see anything wrong with the old one, but this one isn't bad either.

Yay, it's better now. It's cleaner and organized. I noticed that Shadow has color now, and the only issue is in the color differentiation between regular links, Sapphire color, and Blue color, but I don't think it's an issue.

I don't like the "unavailable prior to Generation X". Other than that, 500 rupees to you, sir!

Due to lack of foresight, the bars get cut off on Chrome. I have no idea how we can go about fixing that, though.

but of course firefox is the best browser don't use anything else i mean seriously etc.

The heck? How is it even possible? It has literally cut one of the bars in two, and stuck one bit in each column.

Does it always get cut off in Chrome, or does it only happen occasionally or only on certain pages?
I don't have Chrome on this computer (Linux and all that), but I can run through some testing later on my Windows machine. While certainly, Firefox is the best option for making sure content displays properly (among other benefits), Chrome is a good enough (and popular enough) option for us to spend a bit of extra time making sure it displays properly. (if you use IE6 though, GTFO, you're ruining the internet.)

Oh, that explains a lot. Please check out the poll at this link:
http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=63478

Apparently, 24.7% of users on the Bulbagarden forums use Google chrome. They probably use the wiki, too; are you saying that you are just going to let about a quarter of us Bulbawiki users have difficulty viewing your new templates in action?

BTW, Chrome is much faster than Firefox, in my opinion...

I think it happens all the time for me, regardless of how many bars there are.

Of course, only 73 people voted on that poll. Which is nowhere near the amount total of active users we have across all sites.

Urk! And I see the issue now. TTE coded the template using some CSS3 codes; makes it a bunch simpler, but the side effect is that it fucks up in every browser other than Firefox at the moment. I'll see about coding a workaround that doesn't require a CSS standard that isn't currently in use yet. (shouldn't be a big deal, it's not like CSS3 is adding functions we couldn't already roughly emulate.)
