OH NO! Play-Asia took off its possible Sept.25th ship date!

MUAHAHAH!

I laugh at the Play Asia importers who were making a big deal out of it!

Very interesting to say the least though I had a feeling this kind of thing would happen. Remember the old phrase "Never put all of your eggs in one basket."

I though it was: "don't count your chickens before they hatch?"

Anyway, I paid for the fastest shipping so I SHOULD get the game by Saturday at the least.

I keep hearing people complain about it, and quite frankly, I see September the 25 for the release date.

SOo, is there something I'm not getting here or is this all some big misunderstanding?

They shouldn't be complaining because they aren't getting the game earlier then they should....

Mine still says prepairing order... Maybe it gets delayed by a day, maybe not at all.

It still says "Release Date Sep 25, 2006" under "further information" so stop crying.

The "Release date Sep 25, 2006" line next to the availability icon is just gone now because it is September 25 already.

Well very rarely does an import shop get ahold of and release a game before the official release date in Japan (at least in my experiences). Though this could prove to be the exception. Usually it's rom leaks that happen before the official Japanese release.

As a retailer ordering in bulk, Play-Asia and Lik Sang can easily obtain it on or just before the official release date. You seem to think these companies are little one-man shops reselling games ordered from Amazon or something.

If overseas bookshops can start selling Japanese magazines and books on or before the official publication date in Japan, I fail to see how this won't apply to games as well.

Also... Play Asia now claims that the stock will be in on Tuesday, i.e. tomorrow.

Indeed, Nintendo does not allow selling before the official release date. That doesn't mean they won't ship out stock to retailers.

Now... for those of you who take note of these things... two other games scheduled for release on September 28 have already been leaked out. But Diamond & Pearl remain under lock and key.

They don't allow selling before the STREET Date. This only really applies to high-street retailers. There literally is nothing stopping online retailers breaking it, and they frequently do. Generally when an item is in stock, it's shipped to anyone who ordered it.

If Nintendo or anyone else decided to give up stink about this, they can simply claim they're shipping them to get them to the customer in time to meet the Street Dates.

AFAIK, only Sony's ever gone off on one with the Online Retailers concerning importing the PSP to Europe after we waited 9 months for it to launch here. Needless to say, despite Sony's best efforts to stop it with Cease and Decists etc, it continued on regardless.

Apparently some stores in Japan sell them already as there have been pictures of the games the last few days.

i don't think so. at least not the last few days if that was the case there would be a dump by now ;) which is not the case

i don't care about roms getting leaked early. It's the massive ammount of idiots posting crap topics like "OMG I JUST PLAYED THE XXXX-ROM!!!11 ASK ME ANY QUESTION!" that irritates me.

...mmm usually I think the game would have to leak before the rom, but who knows.

Personally, I think its better to leak the game than the Rom... because the developers actually get money from that... plus, what loading said is true :-p

Are you importing? How far north do you live in California? I live about 2.5 hours north of Sacramento.
