Does wonder how NPC's react when you fight them, and you have a legendary?
Or when they check your happiness?
"Let me see your pokemon... Your pokemon, HOLY S*** IS THAT ARCEUS!!!!!!"
I mean it's not like you have the pokemon that created all life and all...

But enough about Arceus, let's talk about joey's ratata

I find it really strange that the NPCs really don't care when you have a legendary Pokemon with you.

I just can't believe how someone with a level 100 Ho-Oh or something like that would be challenged by someone with a level 4 Rattata.

His Ratatta? It's in the top percentage of Ratatta! But really, that does make me go WTF!

I wonder if the NPCs in the original Japanese versions of these games ACTUALLY had interesting stuff to talk about.

Oh please, no more Joey's Rattata, solely the name Joey is funny enough.
But back on topic, it does is pretty weird, but that happens in almost every RPG, and come to think about it, Oak is pretty excited when he see that you completed the Pokédex, but he should be FAR much excited, I mean, Celebi, Mew, Darkrai, Deoxis, Arceus... That pretty much confirms every myth in the whole Pokémon World.

Many of them probably don't know what a legendary pokemon is, let alone able to identify one.

However there really is no excuse for the NPCs that are supposedly more knowledgable, such as proffesors and such... Or those that would have seen statues and pictures of the thing.

On the other hand, Elm got surprised with the Togepi...

That Rattata should have been named Sandwich or similar.

I laugh at how you can walk around with Mewtwo, Darkrai, Ho-Oh and whatever else behind you in-towns and nobody runs up to you or runs away from you.

Yes, Gamefreak should have added a system were you have your Legendaries with you and when you talk with People they Notice.
Its unrealistic when they Ignore a Arceus.

"Oh my Arceus! Its Dialga..!!! RUN!! RUUUNN!!!"

I had this problem after catching Ho-Oh in HG. Seriously, I had the thing following me in Eckruteak, and it's supposed worshiping residents don't notice. D:<

Pissed me off a little bit, but yeah. It'd be funny if they actually implement the difference between legendaries and all that at some point. Or at the very least, specific pokemon.

Yeah, this is something that bugs me a bit :D I have a bunch of legendaries, I don't care about your super special awesome Rattata.

A Rattata could actually easily kill a Ho-Oh with F.E.A.R.
Not if Ho-Oh is holding a Leftovers. Or if it does not attack but instead throws a Toxic (Ho-Oh will have at least that 10-20 HP and will not be knocked down by a Quick Attack.

And as if NPCs had any clue about F.E.A.R. anyway.
