I sent an email to Viz media asking them these questions about the new Adventures release

-is it going to be flipped?
-will the translation mistakes be fixed?
and
-will they go past volume 7?

once they reply I will put the answers up on this website :smokin:

peace! :smokin:

We already know the answers to most of these...?

-Amazon says yes.
-No clue. I'd ask if the script had been altered from the original translation, and whether or not they kept the Blue/Green switch-a-roo (my bet's on yes).
-Likely depends on sales. So buy, buy, buy.

I wonder how likely it is you'll get a response, huh.

Hmm, y'know what was just bugging me? What are they going to do with the covers of volumes 1 and 4, since they were also used for the Best Of books? Risk repetition and confusion in order to stick to their Japanese counterparts or play it safe and go with other images?

Argh, these releases can not come soon enough.

What translation mistakes do you mean? Blue/Green wasn't a "mistake" exactly, at least not on Viz's part--it was to match that Nintendo of America had released Blue as the counterpart to Red instead of releasing Green.

Didn't they switch up Blue's and Green's names in which Green was the guy and Blue was the girl in one panel?

Can't think of any others.

Yep, and they kept the mistake in the best of collection too. Third time's a charm, maybe they'll get it this time?

I'm pretty sure if they go all the way with this it'll be the same regular covers :smokin:

Well yes the name changes, the slight dialog changes, adding accents, different things like that :smokin:

Chaung Yi started out under Viz with thatseries

and don't give me that, I read them side by side, I know some mistakes where made

I find the Blue/Green switch most annoying. As far as I'm concerned, Blue stole the Squirtle and Green is Oak's grandson. Some people have read the other version, which makes discussion...interesting, to say the least. However, I do know that it wasn't a mistake.

may not have been an "accident" but it was a stil an error

yes they did,
I was reading the american version and the japanese version and there was a few dialogue changes
(those are either Censored/Lazy Translation/Error)

I'm not TALKING about CHANGES, I'm talking about MISTAKES. I keep saying that over and over again!

again I say they could be either, I'm not 100% sure its one or the other

all I'm saying alot of dialog was translated incorecctly, wether it was on purpose or not is up for debate
