...Jioruji Derako couldn't give me an answer, so I'm going to ask on the forums. You see, 9/10 of the time, I receive this "tor exit node" error thing. The Ol' Wikipedia gives an answer that I can't make heads or tails of. So, uh, here's a sample message:

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
Your IP address, XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, has been automatically identified as a tor exit node. Editing through tor is blocked to prevent abuse.

You can view and copy the source of this page:

So, anyone know what this means? Does it have anything to do with MediaWiki 1.14?

It means your IP is shared with an IP that does bad things on an auto-blacklist, I think. Do you use Tor? Or is this just bad random chance?

Bad random chance, sadly.

Unless the accursed Singapore Internet companies force our IPs through tor, I can see no reason why I would have Tor.

The new CheckUser options we have allow us to see if an IP is going through TOR, and it says none of Opti's IPs are on the TOR network, so I don't know why it's acting up.

Geo - a.k.a. Jioruji Derako

Even more odd is probably the fact that the problem fixed itself. -.-;
