....all this anime is starting to rub off on me or something. It's absolutely terrible.
Anyway, how's everyone doing today? Pokémon came to the U.S. when I was eleven. I think it took me about two monts or so to catch on. If Pokémon came here when I was eleven, that would make me officially...old. But don't start calling me Grandma or anything just yet.
So why did I wait so many years to sign up for the Pokémon community? Uh, it's a very mysterious mystery that alas even I do not know the answer to.
I picked up an old Red Version a few weeks ago, thus rekindling my great love for the monsters what dwell in the pockets of the masses. Ever since then I've gotten my grubby paws on some raw Japanese episodes of the show, and found, to my great surprise and amusement, that I can understand a lot of what they're saying despite my only basis for Japanese having been watching too many Magical Girl shows during my youth and reading the book "Japanese For Complete And Total, Utter Fools Who Should Never Procreate." I mean, "Japanese for Dummies." (I'm assuming this is because everyone's always saying things like "Hang in there!" and "I'll never lose!" and "Go for it!")
Um....let's see, what else. I am obsessed with berries. Do not question my love for the berries or surely some great calamity will befall you.
In my free time I like drawing comics and buying weird stuff off e-bay, but who really cares about that?
Anyway, that's pretty much it, although I'm sure it was more than you ever needed to know. Don't be scared to say "hi" now. Or, you know, yell at me for being obnoxious and long-winded. Any attention is good attention. Seriously.
And while I'm still here in all my noobish glory, where can I go to get me some help getting Bulbagarden chat to work in mIRC? I keep getting a "Software caused connection to abort" error. Gwar.
