I started playing pokemon back with red/blue. My husband and I have always bought and played opposite versions; it's rather nice to have a built-in partner.

I missed out on platinum, but have played most of the games. I think the only ones I've missed are emerald and platinum.

Last time I played, it was Diamond, back in 2007, I logged something like 260 hours.

Now I'm rockin' Heartgold, although my husband's way behind me. I just got my 8th badge, he just got his third.

I always feel a little odd talking about it, since I'm well, not exactly a kid, but it's such a well made, addictive game that it's perfect for me. I love the recent changes, and am thrilled I've actually gotten to participate (somewhat) in Nintendo WFC events... I have the winner's path and just got Jirachi today.

Anyway, now that I've practically written a novel, I'll sign off and go back to exploring.

Oi and welcome to bmgf. Have fun, post often, and if you have any questions, just ask!

I think this is AMAZING. Im 27, and engaged, and I just got into the games about 2 months ago, and my fiance has just started her first at 21. Age has NOTHING to do with the fun of these games. Dont have a problem talking about them, I was accepted on this site with no question of age. Welcome to the boards

Welcome!
I also think its nice that you and your husband have the same hobby, you both have something to do after a hard day at work. (You can both play pokemon, like battle or trade, if you have wi-fi)

Enjoy your stay and have a good time! =)

My sister is 25 and she doesn't mind talking about pokemon to her friends, shes talked about it for 2 years now. =P

Welcome to the forums! Have fun and enjoy.
You guys can battle who does the chores :p

Thanks.

Most of my friends' kids are the ones who play... so if I mention it to the adults, they look at me funny. ;) Ah well, my neighbor (13) likes to trade too.

It's extra nice with the pokewalker. We carry each other's pokewalker when we go somewhere, and get items from it daily. Rather nice!

Pokemon has been around for more than a decade. It only makes sense that as the series grows older, so do the fans, no matter when we started or how old we were.

That you and your husband still share this love is both heartwarming and, quite simply, awesome. The family that plays Pokemon together, stays together!

Welcome to Bulbagarden.

i'm 13 my first and favorite game is saphire and I AM ADICTED TO POKEMON AND TACOS btw its nice to see everybody loves bleach like me

That's so cool! I wish I could have someone like that. The closest I've got is an apprentice, but I think he's losing faith in me.
