Sorry for the random title, I could not resist (stupid Firefox not letting me use the apostrophe).

But seriously, why do the kanji that make up "olive" mean "wood" and "rinoceros"? I have never associated olives with rinoceroses. I mean, things like water + stone = cyrstal make sense, but this one really does not.
 
First of all, you'll have to tell me what word that is, because the word for rhinoceros is 犀.

Secondly, not all words spelt in kanji are actually composed of those kanji.
