The world still reels in the calm between storms. The Battle of Marineford and the death of the King of the Sea has done little to dampen the spirits of the new generation of pirates. Young men and women, seeking adventure, romance, treasure, and glory continue on despite the perils and challenges ahead.

Is the Pirate King among them? Or Pirate Queen? What greatness may lie will come to light at the final battle as this long chapter of our world's history comes to its climax.

Let the race to the One Piece begin.

OOC: For now, your crew is about to enter the second half of the Grand Line. As such, you're headed to the Sabaoady Archipelago to coat your ship and finally cross the red line into the New World.

"Captain, we're coming up the Sabaoady Archipelago" a voice said. The wind made a long roar of noise, only matched with the crashing of the waves beneath the large ship, the Windy Tunnel. The tall, thin man in his white coat looked down below the crow's nest he was in to place a face to the voice. One of the crewmates was halfway climbed up to him, waiting for a response. The captain smiled and turned forward again, the jolly roger flag flowing not too far above him. It depicted a skull with a tornado for a neck with two swords behind it. "Good.Tell everyone to get ready. I wanna coat this ship and get moving. Staying there longer then we have to isnt my goal." he said sternly. The man nodded and started climbing back down to the deck. "Yes sir." he muttered. Another gust of wind blew against the ship, a loud hiss with it. Shirega stepped off of the nest and lightly jumped off, his body floating majestically down to the main deck and startling his crew at work.

There were about ten of them at work, watching him land and then turning back to their business. As he walked to the helm of the ship, he heard murmurs coming from them as he walked away as if he disturbed them by arriving. He stopped and turned to listen, curious. "Man we're almost there already, I heard that place is under Marine control!" one man loudly hissed to another. "Hey don't say that around the Captain, he'll go nuts. Besides didn't you remember that the HQ relocated to the New World?" a response came. "Still im sure they must check in every now and then...its not exactly known for being a fun-loving paradise all the time." the man said. Shirega narrowed his eyes, turning back away after hearing all he wanted to. The man looked around the vast ocean carefully, looking for any other ships. He knew pirate crews were always arriving here. It was a mandatory trip for anyone who wanted to get into the New World.

"Jirega--Commodore! You must stop!" a female voice said. Far off in the Marine HQ, a bulky man in a white coat could be seen power walking to a ship docked. On the ship were a crew of Marines, awaiting his arrival to disembark. As he made his way up the ramp, they saluted him as he entered, the female Marine right on his heels ignoring them. "Commodore! You cannot ignore orders and go off on your own. The Sabaody Archipelago is not under our jurisdiction as it was before! You cannot take this crew and this ship and run off!" she yelled as he walked to the helm. He finally turned to face her, with a gentle smile. "Captain Nanao...please. Look around you. No one minds taking this little journey see?" he said softly. The crew were filled with smiles, turning to them before getting ready for departure. Jirega turned away, his smile disappearing. "Commodore. You were already demoted once. If you would listen to me, you wouldn't be in so much trouble and you'd probably be at the rank to make these decisions." she said lowering her tone. He shook his head in denial. "Nanao, the ship is about to disembark. And I dont plan on providing you a boat to make it back to HQ once we leave." he said ignoring her.

The female Marine's eyes widened, clenching her fists briefly before turning away from him. "Let's go then. I'm going with you." she said. He turned with a surprised look on his face. "Nanao...." he muttered. "Nope. I'm staying. Someone has to watch you. Besides you said your just going on a little journey. You shouldnt mind having a Captain on board right?" she said turned away from him. He shook his head once more and looked down in defeat almost. "Im only going to uphold justice like we should. Any pirates I can thwart will make the world a safer place, even a little bit more. Just doing my job." he said stepping forward. The ship had finished its preparations, disembarking towards the open sea. As it turned into the proper direction, Jirega clenched his fist as looked at into the open sea. "Ill get you. I know you'll be there." he muttered to himself.

Leah eyes lit up as she heard the captain announce that the ship was entering the new world. She craved action, being a cook was a good job but she wanted thrills. She wanted to be more then a cook, she wanted to fight she wanted to go looking for treasure like other pirates, she asked her cat Samantha what she thought about this whole being a pirate thing and the cat just rubbed up against her legs and purred. She picked up Samantha and began petting her as she walked up the creaky stairs out onto the deck she stared out into the ocean wondering about her future.

David stood on the railing in back of his ship. He was a tall man, around six feet, and his black hair blew in the wind. He smiled as he felt it against his face. He didn't think he'd ever grow tired of how wonderful it felt. It was a brief moment of weakness. His leather jacket he wore on his shoulders billowed around him, revealing the large burn scar on his back, between his shoulders. And around his wrists were a pair of heavy, Kairoseki handcuffs. He had been banging them against rocks, and there were some cracks in them, but he had yet to finish breaking them. For now, he was stuck with an eight-foot long scorpion tail. It was useful in a fight, and he could wrap it around his body as he was doing now, but it got in the way when he tried to sit down.

He jumped down from his precarious position on the railing, and headed for the front. There, he looked out.

"Looks like we're almost at the Sabaody archipelago." David said. It was a small ship he had acquired, but he didn't have enough people to man a larger one. And it had been reliable. Further, he hadn't had much of a choice. It was abandoned at Marineford. The way he saw it, if the crew hadn't returned for it, odds are they weren't going to at all. So he had set sail in it, leaving the life he had barely escaped from. Perhaps to provide closure and finality, he had renamed the ship when he was disguising it's origins: The Sparrow. Free. Like he was. He pushed the thoughts out of his mind as he headed inside.

"You guys ready to go?" David, asked, as he walked down the stairs.

Leah looked up shaking off the day dream she was having and yelled at the captain, "yes sir I'm ready to go sir!" As she pulled herself off the rail and began to make her way to the captain to ask a question she knew it was a bad idea and she would most likely would be punished but she had to ask would she get any action would she get to learn how to use a sword and look for treasure. She knew she was a cook but she still wanted to experience being a pirate and not just being a cook. She approached the captain took a deep breath and asked in a nervous voice, "Excuse me sir.. I..I mean captain, I know I'm just a cook but I want to know am I going to get any action, I mean will I get to fight other people learn how to use a sword and look for treasure? It's.. It's just always been my dream!"

David looked at her from the side, turning to her. She seemed pretty dang nervous. He had picked her up pretty recently. She was the crew's cook, and she did make decent peanut butter sandwiches. He didn't know if she could cook anything else, because that was basically all he ate. Then she popped the question. He figured he'd tease her a bit.

"You...You DARE ASK SUCH A QUESTION OF THE DREAD PIRATE, DAVID RACKHAM, THE IRON FIST?!" He asked, fire in his eyes. "YOU WILL SUFFER GREATLY FOR YOUR INSOLENCE! I NEVER knew that you were interested in swordfighting." His face had melted into a smile.

"Do you have a sword? I don't know much about it, granted, but maybe we can find a pair and practice..." David said. "I think I might have seen some weapons somewhere around here..." He turned a corner, and found an armory of sorts. It was a bit sparse, but there were a few swords and guns and the like littering the closet.

"You should choose a pair. I'll be waiting on the deck. For our duel...To the death." He said, heading upstairs.

Leah just stood there shocked she thought to herself a fight to the death, I don't know how to fight I don't even know how to hold a sword. Why did I even ask that question I'm going to die here and now I mean he's and experienced pirate and I'm just a cook. Leah walked over shaking and picked up a good looking flintlock and a small sword. she thought a smaller sword would be easier to wield and make her chances of survival greater but she also remembered one thing the captain was handcuffed this would vastly improve her chances of survival. She creeped upstairs to where the captain was and prepared for a fight while trying her best not to shake too much.

"Are you ready for battle?" David asked, cricking his neck. He loved a good fight. Nothing better. He needed to warm up for Sabaody. He was wielding one of Leah's saucepans in his mouth.

"Why are you so nervous?" He asked, although it came out a bit muffled around the pan he was "wielding". "Don't worry, I've only killed..." He began counting on his fingers.

"12 men." He said, smiling. "Well, I mean, in once punch. If we're talking over my lifetime..." He was clearly having a field day tormenting his poor cook. He wasn't going to say it aloud, but she was pretty dang adorable.

Leah thought no need to over think things just get in their and fight, she swung her sword at the captains direction and well totally missed the weight of the sword caused her to lose her balance and fall on the deck. She tried to get back up but it was no use the captain would most likely get her by the time she could get up.

David stood, ready for her to attack. He had his teeth gritted, and was in stance, he braced himself to block with the pan...Except Leah had tripped over. He blinked, and then started to awkwardly twist. His arms were cuffed, so his mobility was limited. Still, it was clear he was trying to help her up.

"Alright, looks like you need some practice. But I bet every swordsman has." He paced back and forth across the deck a couple of times. "Here, try choosing some other blades, swing them a few times or something, get a feel for them." David said. He tried to scratch his head, but couldn't. Because, again, handcuffs. "I've never used a sword, but that's what they do in books and stuff! When you're done with that, come at me."

Leah tried getting up and realized she wasn't dead yet, in fact the captain was trying to help her up. He couldn't get the hand cuff off though she thought to herself she could most likely get those handcuffs off the captain she'd picked many locks when she was stealing from the people she worked for. She quickly got up and pulled out a lockpick she alway kept in her pocket she never knew when it could come in useful she picked the lock in about five seconds and asked the captain, "Better?"

La Venimeux's twin rapiers hung from her belt. Gaëlle spent her time either thinking, or by practicing her fighting techniques. She drove her left rapier into the practice dummy's side with a thrust. She then jabbed the other sword into it's throat, pulling them both out, hay spilling out.

David blinked, looking at his new wrists. Could...Could it be true? He rubbed them. They were a bit sore from the chaffing, but...

"OH HELLS YEAH!" David said. He rolled his shoulders, popping them and cricking his neck. Oh god, it felt so good! Wait...Now he could...

"Ah~ Oh god yes!" He said. He had shrugged off his jacket, revealing his back, which was covered in a huge scar. He was scratching his back for the first time in a month.

"Thank you!" He said, wrapping Leah in a tight hug. He stretched again, then remembered something.

"Hey, come to think of it...Gaelle! Hey, Gaelle, want to come teach Leah to swordfight?" David yelled.

Leah smiled it felt good using her locking picking skills to help people instead of stealing from them, hopefully the captain doesn't mind my thieving past. She also heard about a Gaelle fellow who was this Gaelle fellow? She asked the captain, "who's this Gaelle? I've yet to meet him yet."

"You mean her?" the female smirked at Leah. Gaëlle was a french name, so many thought her a boy. Pfft. Her twin rapiers hung from her belt as the strided to the armory. "First, we need to find you a suitable weapon.." she muttered in thought, scanning over the swords, muskets, and cannonballs.

Leah's eyes lit up she was going to learn how to use a sword she was finally going to accomplish one of her life dreams and that was learning to sword fight. She said to Gaëlle trying to hide the excitement in her voice, "me and the captain were having a go practicing sword fighting but let's just say it didn't end well for me I ended up on the floor. I tried using this sword but I kinda suck at this" Leah showed the sword to Gaëlle.

"I was using a saucepan." David said, nodding, the saucepan still clenched between his teeth as he continued scratching his back. He had sprouted six extra arms, all of them covered in shining, dark purple armor. As he scratched, he noticed that they were nearing the archipelago.

"I wonder what kind of people I'll get to fight there..." He quietly mused to himself, stroking his chin with his top-left hand.

"That thing is way too heavy. Try a rapier," she put down the extremely heavy sword, handing her a much lighter one. She darted over to the practice room, dragging the hay dummy over. "Practice by jabbing it in the stomach," she instructed.

Leah took the rapier and jabbed it into the hay dummy a couple of times and thought to herself wow..this swords a lot lighter and easier to use then the last one I was using. That last one felt like it weighed a ton, Leah asked her instructor, "how am I doing?" but deep in her heart she knew she was doing well.

"You're doing great for a first-timer. Now, I'll show you the technique I was using earlier.." She cut into the side of the dummy's stomach, before slicing across the throat. "That oughta put them to death," she chuckled.
