It's exposition time! Our heroes meet up with Montblanc Cricket, and we are told of his past and his relationship with the infamous liar Noland, as the goal of reaching Sky Island comes closer and closer.

Notable cuts:
*Bar fight scenes cut and blood cleaned up in the recap.
*Cricket is constantly smoking a cigarette (even when diving, for some reason), and his love of toying with his cigarette while talking led to a lot of editing of his arms, not all of which look very good.
*Cricket's fight with Sanji is a mess, with huge portions cut out for no apparant reason. Somehow, Cricket is allowed to fire his gun at Sanji, but we're not allowed to view this from any other perspective than closeups on the gun or Cricket. It's not like he hits Sanji or anything.
*Cricket firing his gun at Usopp is changed into him poiting the gun at him by the wonders of the cutting tool
*To no one's surprise, Zoro's wanted poster reads "Roronoa Zolo". All other text is left alone, though, including the japanese title on the book telling Noland's story.

Also, the Going Merry is actually referred to by that name. Hoorah.
And, or those who cares about such things, Luffy says "freaking", which is supposedly an evil satanic word or something judging by the comments it's usage got.

I realize that it's not too uncommon anymore to see words like "crap" or "freaking" pop up in American tween programming nowadays, but when we consider what One Piece has been going through previously, it sure does give you warm fuzzies to hear such terminology pop up in the show, doesn't it? ^^

Then again, I guess the same could be said about a lot of stuff, really, like Nami and Chopper's talk about brain tumors in the first Funi episode. Hell, in that same episode, I was actually going "Yay! Guns!" when Masira's crew held up their pistols. XD (Even though I didn't actually watch the 4kids dub like others suffered through, I am rather familiar with the edits through everyone's comments, and even regardless of that, I'm familiar enough with 4kids's censorship in other shows, like Yu-gi-oh!, to know damn well those guns wouldn't have existed if Funimation hadn't stepped in)

I really like Noland's voice, and his introduction.

The running gag with them comparing Ussop to (or thinking Ussop was) Noland the liar was hilarious.
It was also funny watching Nami going gaga when gold is mentioned, as was watching Luffy give Shojo notes on beating up Mashira.

This episode is a prime example of how great the Music in One Piece really is.
At the end of the episode I noticed that Mihawk's sword is unedited.

I missed Mihawk? ;-;

I missed the last 10 minutes because I fell asleep...and was woken up to "Good news, everyone!"

Unfortunately I missed this episode to :-/.... but hopefully I'll find someone who taped it.
