is the ability to decorate your room. I loved having the dolls and the new beds and new posters and so on. And I thought with secret bases they'd still have this ability. But I haven't found it, nor have I found anywhere to have a base (there's no chimneys for the underground, after all).

You guys miss anything from the first release?
 
The ability to simply buy the Elemental Punches rather than having to spend BP on them. I finally get an opportunity to use them again and I have to obtain them in the most irritating way possible...

As I type this, I'm farming the Frontier for the 60-some-odd BP for a DunderPunch.

If I could only find my Platinum, I have dozens of extra shards >.<

I miss this, it was so pointless but I loved it, like the big lapras doll. Also I miss the mystery gift feature that was in g/s/c where you got the decorations, and items I think? I don't really remember.

There's still mystery gift.
I don't miss much from the old game, besides not having my Pokemon follow me (I hope it's optional in Generation 5, or at least let any party Pokemon follow).

Really? I love having my Pokemon following me. That's one thing I hope they continue in the new generations. I'm currently EV training my Exeggcute in Sprout Tower for Sp. Atk, and I love running around and talking to that odd assortment of eggs behind me. xD
 
yea pokemon following me while i run is pretty cool.Future games i hope they have this
 
I do miss the decorating feature. :/ This is why Secret Bases were a nice alternative, HGSS couldn't at least include THAT?

Other than that, there's not much else I miss. What was there to miss besides decorating your house?
 
Apart from the house, there's only two things I miss from the originals:

-Two sets of sprites (one per version)
-Juggler Irwin dropping his balls.
 
I heard the Slot games are gone for American Games.. I miss those along with Decorating my house. I loved my Surfing Pikachu and Giant Larpas Doll..
 
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Lyra aesthetically. Is that a bonnet? I liked the original girl better. It doesn't really affect me either way, but nevertheless. xP

That is true, they have removed the Slot games and replaced them with the Voltorb Flip game in the Goldenrod Game Corner. You should be able to get back your Surfing Pikachu once the Yellow Forest event is released as it is full of Pikachus with special moves. In addition you could trade someone for the PokePark Pikachu which also knows Surf.

I agree, I liked Kris a bit better than Kotone. It's kind of sad that Kris got replaced though, I guess they just wanted a change in theme. Kotone does fit the Fourth Generation better though.

I also miss the usual Game Corner and really wish it would have been left as it was in the original.

I have a different theory on why they replaced her, but that topic is kinda forbidden here, because, you know, all the controversy that happened here because of that and I don't wanna bring back that again.
 
Depositing Items into the PC, not sure if its present in HGSS, but for DPPT and future games it isn't.

The thing is, it's a pain in the butt to scroll aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllll the way down to use the item you recently bought from the PKMart.

Agreed. I was just about to mention this.

One thing that still annoys the hell out of me is the phone calls.
Fisher Wilton: "Hey, sup? I was fishing today and I ran into a Tentacool, but it got away...talk to you later! CLICK"

makes me want to rip my hair out.
 
But in HGSS you don't have to scroll down, you can navigate (back and forth) though pages and it makes the thing much easier.
 
To be honest, nothing really.

I like Lyra more than Kris, I like the music, and I didn't care for the decorating stuff much.

That seems to be the gist of the complaints.
