My apologizes if this is a duplicate topic. Feel free to make fun of me if so.

I know this will probably never happen because it deals with online.

Questing was probably a bad choice of words here, but more like dungeon running would be a better label. I was thinking that running parts of the game together with friends would be a fun addition. Of course I mean, after you beat them in the main adventure first. You and a friend would run that section of the game together doing double/2-on-2 battles at a fixed level set. To hopefully make it more understandable I'll use examples from HeartGold and SoulSilver.

DREAMY SITUATION: DOUBLE TEAMING AND YOU
Basically you and a friend connect on wifi that'll work! One of the game types is nicknamed "Dungeon Run". Basically it allows you to pick from several different major sections from the game and replay them together. Example choices would be like "Team Rocket Takes over the Radio Station", "Elite 4", "To the Top of the Lighthouse", "Blackthorn City Gym". You select the Radio Station set and both of you fight through team rocket via 2-on-2 battles. You also have level sets in which the NPCs' pokemon will be ranged like "60 to 70", "70 to 80" and so on. Amount of pokemon each NPC has will be adjusted so and you'll be limited to how many pokemon you can use in each battle. In fantasy land this could work with the Battle Frontier and you'll be rewarded battle points for finishing the "dungeon".

Online battles are awesome, but co-op would be really nice too. :P Just something I'd like to see.

tl;dr- Replay certian parts of the game with a friend via double battles. NPC levels and amount of pokemon will be adjusted to fit the situation. Battle points will be awarded for completing the run.

This... sounds fun, but also somewhat unlikely. I mean, playing the game online with a friend sounds amazing, and while that would be an expansion on the wifi aspect, that sounds like a really big stretch for Game Freak.

But I would like it. I jsut don't think we'll ever see it.

This would be nice, not sure if we'll see it though. In my experience the Nintendo WFC seems a bit ... temperamental. This could be a DS to DS feature, but I'm not sure about going over wifi

That actually sounds like a load of fun, especially if points collected could be put towards prizes such as items or TMs, the usual stuff. Also, why not have special dungeon runs where it's a completely new location? A bit like the PokeWalker. Also, maybe each player on a team only using 3 Pokemon each so they only had 6 in a total would put the pressure on.

I'm imagining it to be a tad similar to the Trainer Run in Emerald.

Over Wifi seems a bit iffy to me, too.

Co-op would be awesome. After all, many 360 and PC games let you do that now, online or offline. But too bad it probably won't happen/

I agree, I don't see this happening with the DS because of how limited the wifi is, but possibly with the 3DS. I'm pretty sure nintendo did state it would have improved functionality in that aspect.

Uh... I've read your suggestions and I can't say it would be my thing. Sure, playing an FPS co-op is great fun, but an RPG? Specifically, the parts you mention: story parts. You can already co-op via the Battle Frontier. I wouldn't see the point in doing the story sections, as those are meant for you, for a single a player. The fact that you'd have to input the levels and pick the selection like you were doing a level in a typical game makes me wonder if it'd be all that cracked up.

Co-op is probably what Nintendo is "opting" for.

Its a nice idea in my opinion, as it could make the journey alot easier and more fun and attractive for beginners.

Of course, it probably is not mandatory and the option to go it alone will always be there.

But it is a good idea, and I'd be surprised if Nintendo hasn't thought about it yet.

If this happens (Which is very unlikely) it'll be awesome! Thought, how will you move? The game just makes you move and you just have to battle?

Also, there'll be A LOT of lag, maybe a DS-to-DS feature...

Maybe a DS-To-DS Feature would work for this, but i doubt it will happen. I somewhat like the idea though.
