Daniel was leaning on the store counter "Hm..." He sighed ever since the blackouts started the store Danial works at has been getting less and less business "Howdy there, Danny boy." Sheriff Adrian Wilks "How's it goin'?" Danial stood up straight "Meh, same as usual, Wilks..." Danial told Adrian "The black outs have been scarin' up a storm, people are staying their homes and they ain't botherin' to leave unless of an emergency."

"Don't worry, Danny boy, things'll back to normal before you know it." Adrian told Daniel "Now, how about some smokes, the usual brand." Daniel pulled out a carton of cigarettes "Here yah' go officer." Daniel handed Wilks the box "That'll be $32.99." Daniel told Adrian "Sure thing, Danny boy." Adrian gave Daniel about 40 dollars "Keep the change." Wilks told Daniel as he walked out of the store and towards his police cruiser.

"That'll be the only customer I'll get all day, I bet." Daniel sighed as Sheriff Adrian Wilks drove away "Oh, time to close down." Daniel looked at the clock that was propped over the entrance.

"I'm going for the night," called out Emily into the kitchen. She waited for a muffled goodbye from the head chef before she stepped out into the cool night night air from the restaurant she worked in.
'If there's another blackout tonight,' Emily thought to herself. Those seemingly random blackouts had the whole town on edge and less customers were coming to the restaurant. Emily hoped that she could keep her job amongst the rumors that the owner was going to lay off a waitress.
Arriving home, Emily tossed her bag onto her kitchen counter and sunk into a chair in front of the TV, sighing.

Rei walked into the store, seeing Daniel ready to close up. "S'up Dan. Surely you have time for one more customer? Don't worry, I got money. Loads of people too distracted with the black outs to notice missing valueables."

"Okay, just make it quick, okay?" Daniel told Rei with a sigh "I've gotta get home before a black out happens again."

Rei grinned. "Don't worry! It's just a black-out. Besides, who would mess with a very handsome theif and a not nearly as handsome clerk? No one, that's who! Anyway, I'll take this coke." Rei put fifty dollars on the counter. "Keep the change. It's for all those times I stole beer and stuff. Figured you might need the extra dough." Rei waved to Daniel as he walked out of the store, took in a breath of the night air, and lit up a cigarette he had just stolen. He began the long trek back to the basement of his abandoned warehouse.

"Rei's a good kid." Daniel said as he put the cash in the register "If only he had chosen the right path." Daniel threw his coat on and switched the lights on "Time to go home." Daniel walked out the door and locked the store up and walked over to his car and got in and started to drive home.

When Daniel got home, he found Amelia there, with her new Impala police car, holding a bottle of Mountain Dew. "Hey, Daniel," she greeted him, "Just wondering, have you gotten any information on the blackouts? I was only just able to take a vacation from work. I've already been able to stay one night, but I haven't gotten anything on it."

Rei got to the warehouse and lied down on an old couch. "Man...I'm so bored." Rei pulled out one of his surgical scalpels, and started twirling it. "If only that kid didn't die...I could have been a famous surgeon..." Rei got up and got some chips from an old fridge. Thanks to the black-outs, no one noticed all the thefts. Yawning,he locked the warehouse and went to it's basement, lying down on a old bed. He took off his silver ring, made sure everything was locked, and fell asleep.

"Ouch, got to be careful with those locks Logan". "When will the blackouts start" I muttered to myself as I left the house. "Man that was a lot of goods today must get at least 2,000 tops". Out of nowhere Sheriff Adrian came rolling down. "Logan nice to see ya what our you doing 2 miles out of town". "Oh you know preparing for the big marathon pushing myself to the limit"."Well I hope you win it for us"."Yes,yes i'll win the "Gold". Oh, you "liar" go have fun you rascal."Why,im getting good at lying" I muttered to myself as I ran off into the night.

*Clack... clack...* Mila shuddered at the sound of her own footsteps as she hurried back home from the station. There was something off about today... she just could not shake it....

"Shoot someones here" I whispered. How on earth am I supposed to get out of the station now? "act natural" I whispered as I confronted the person.

Mila wasn't that far from the station... when she heard a noise.. what was someone else doing there... She knew then she had to investigate

"I've got nothing, sorry." Daniel told Amelia "Hey, uh... I've gotta go, okay? Talk to you in the morning."

"Alright. Just for your information, my phone line's down, so we'll have to meet up," Amelia said, "See ya." With that, she got in the Impala, started it up, and left for home.

"Shoot a pistol there only one way out of it" as Logan pulled out his knife anticipating the first move.

As she neared the station, her heart pounded in her chest. She eventually reached there... and crept in... and called out:

"I am warning you, I am armed... come out with your hands up!" She yelled

"what the hell?!" Mila was caught off guard at the intruder's assault, and tried to dive out of the way and reach for a weapon

At this point, Amelia was driving past, and noticed the fighting. Frustrated with them, she turned on the lights and blipped the siren. She pulled over and got out. "Guys, knock it off! You guys can't get along for two seconds, and we're supposed be focusing on the problem at hand. After the blackout you can do something about him."
