Once there was a world no different than yours or mine. You could say it was exactly the same, except for leaders. Until the year 2012 rolled around. The government of the USA said that aliens had arrived and launched an all-out nuclear war. Most countries that could joined in to fight these "aliens". The result was devastating. Practicably all of humanity was wiped out, and all from a hoax. Of course they missed the real aliens, who decided to fix this world.
Not that you remember any of that.
No, all that you remember is waking up on an island with 10 other survivors. In places there are spots that seem like holes into space. There are others where they show the Earth may years into the future or many years into the past. They are shrinking day by day. But you are finding strange creatures. Creatures that can shoot water out of their mouths or shoot fire. Ones that look like normal grasses, but can absorb your health.
You have a few fruits that aren't destroyed by pollution and are safe to eat. These creatures, if you can beat them, are safe to eat as well. Well... Except for the ones that shoot that sludge at you.
You want to know what they are. You want to know what caused the ruins around you. You want to know why you think you know these people. You want to know why you feel less able to fight but more of a will to live. And most of all, you want to know why you can't remember a thing. Choose what you do wisely, for you are shaping history as we know it.
Rules:
1) As you may have guessed, this is a RP based on the beginning of the Pokémon world.
2) As a rule, these people are less violent now than we are. Not that there are not violent people, of course.
3) You can't remember anything. No exceptions.
4) Keep your cursing to a minimum.
5) You are going to have to hunt. If you were a vegetarian, you don't remember that now.
6) No magical "Oh look everyone I know what this Pokémon is called". You don't.
7) If you look at things that existed back the old days, you remember what they are called and their basic use.
8) No electricity or plumbing.
9) Follow forum rules.
10) No Mary-Sues.
11) Use proper grammar, please.

Appearance: Curly red hair and blue eyes. She has freckles. Wears a tattered Yellow polo and jean shorts. Wears sandals with red straps.
Personality: Generally happy and cheerful, Jess can talk a mile a minute. While this often annoys people, along with her dimness, she can occasionally have a spark of inspiration and be quite smart. She adores the water but doesn't like the volcanoes on the island. They're constantly oozing lava, and that makes her nervous.
