Opinion of Our World in the Perspective of the Pokémon World

Here's a fun scenario to think about: what do you think the people from the Pokémon world think of ours? Before I delve further, I should provide some explanation. You see, we always offer our opinion on what we think of the Pokémon World is like in various threads, so it's interesting to see the reverse.

Perhaps it's difficult to draw a conclusion since we are not them, which is why you could start by guessing what specific characters think.

It is also possible to think of this scenario in terms of what they observe in our media, such as television shows, video games and radio.

Maybe one could even compare the perspectives between the different interpretations of Pokémon, such as the anime and the manga!

To start, I should offer a couple of opinions. I am inclined to believe that the people from Pokémon think of our selection of fruits as special because we don't eat them like berries. Some fruits require removing the shell (durian), peeling (banana) and of course, eating it straight (strawberry). Perhaps they might be surprised that not every animal favours fruits the same way all Pokémon find berries appealing.

Then comes animal breeding. In Pokémon, there are several different combinations of animals that could breed, but for us, it's quite limited yet diverse. Animals in the same category could breed, such as tigers and lions, yes, but the offspring looks different from the parents despite taking characteristics from both. Maybe they would also find it surprising that some animals are like humans because mammals give birth through the womb, instead of the standard procedure of egg-laying in Pokémon.

So, once again, what do you think people from the Pokémon world think of ours?

First of all, they would probably be shocked at out government, because there, the Champion rules everything. They would also be disgusted at the fact that we eat animals, because they are companions and stuff there.

They wouldn't like the fact that our world has been in so many bloody wars and that their's still ongoing conflicts in our world.

They wouldn't understand the idea of government.

They would wonder why we don't use animals for battling.

They would also be disgusted at the fact that we eat animals, because they are companions and stuff there.

They'd be confused that we don't use water-type animals for putting out fire.

I think they would try to let a salmon (water type) use Water Gun on a rhino (rock type)

Surely someone coming from the Pokemon universe and stepping into our would be in for a bad time. Certainly at least from the anime it would seem the Pokemon world (although it is filled with its own unique hardships etc.) is a much more forgiving than the universe we live in (specifically the attitude of the general population), and although the Pokemon world has technologies we don't exactly have just yet... it actually seems quite a bit more simple and less chaotic than our real lives.

Of course this could be because we have mainly witnessed the Pokemon world unfold (in the anime) behind the eyes and perspective of younger children. So in the eyes of an adult it could appear a very different place. Still I would love to visit! lol
