Orange Dot on the Map

does anyone know what the moving orange dot on the map is it's driving me crazy

I think it says where you last were. Key word: I THINK!!

DoctorJAMIE is correct. The Orange dot's (there are about three if I'm remembering correctly) that shows you where you were last. They just show you your progress in the game so you can remember where you came from and which direction you may be going (unless you use Fly and go all over the map).

It remembers where you flew from though so it marks that one. It's kinda handy but I know Sinnoh by the back of my hand kinda...
