Red says hi. This special is probably set in the same universe as Origins, so it is not part of "the anime".BRENDAN!! BRENDAN IS APPEARING IN THE ANIME!
Wow, it's been forever since a male protagonist has appeared after Kenta's Crystal Special. I'm looking forward to this![]()
The Pikachu shorts are around 20 minutes long, but you do have a point that Movie 7 was never coupled with a short and was 90 minutes long. That doesn't leave much time unless they cut the commercials, which is unlikely. They officially called it "short anime" and it is being coupled with the airing of Movie 7 in what I'd assume is a 2-hours block.

Ugh. I don't even know why Movie 7 is being used for ORAS promotion; Movie 6 is more relevant if only due to Groudon and the upcoming Jirachi distribution, and it's shorterAlso, if I understand correctly, there's supposed to be some segment hosted by Shokotan revealing some ORAS stuff. That's gonna eat even more time out of the little left for this short... remember last time something was coupled with a movie's airing? that was Movie 17's prequel, which was 5 mins long. I'm sure it's the same case now.
Sigh, I'm sure they have enough money to do more than that, but I guess they really don't want to waste anymore than what's necessary.

I bet this will be about 5 mins long and very similar to the BW2 animated trailer, although maybe instead of rushing too much they'd just focus on showing off the protagonists and the starters while making a jump ahead in the very end to quickly feature Rayquaza and Groudon/Kyogre.
It's nice to have this, but we shouldn't expect too much from this... better prepare for the worst.
Are they going to show the Groudon/Kyogre climax? If so, which version will it be based on?
They shouldn't spoil too much of the plot for new players.
I get the feeling that Brendan will be the protagonist with Treecko as his starter, which is a shame.

How did they fill the 2-hour slot with Movie 16 and that short prequel? I don't think that the Eevee short was included.
All of them were made to promote the games, so they didn't need to be longer than 5 minutes.
Because I always viewed her as the Hoenn heroine, especially with Red and presumably Ethan being the heroes of their regions. The anime May was definitely showcased, but she was no heroine.Piplup said:Why? May got to star in the anime while Brendan got neglected back then, so I'd actually rather Brendan to be the star here. (the only issue I can see with Treecko is that it got the most focus back in AG but ehh it'd probably barely do anything here)

Oh well. A short shouldn't be taken too seriously.
