Woo, finally posting art again. Most of this stuff was done atleast a couple weels ago, so they're not hugely new.

rp-remedy.jpg

Finished with the design of my RP character's outfit (though the coat is covering her arm warmers). I <3 Remedy, she's uber 1337. XD

remedy.jpg

And me cosplaying her! XD The costume is just fun to wear, though some of the belts can become quite uncomfortable. ^^; Since the picture was taken, I have purchused actual cargos for the costume, which took $60 out of my wallet. So in total, the cost cost me $73. Ow.

An alternate outfit for Remedy. It scanned quite oddly, and scanning made the arm shapes look weird. O_o;; Done when I was in a weird mood.

rp-trapt.jpg

Yay, I drew Remedy's brother. I had fun with this one, though the neck is too short. O_o;; Oh well, I like the outfit in general, so it's all good.

Haha, I drew Unexpected Journey stuff. XD All people can do with this picture is make jokes about the location of the Charmander's tail. Har har.

rocky2.jpg

Charmander is cute, Oddish is cute, Pichu is too small and Rocky's legs look gimped. GO ME!

And now because I'm bored, OLD ART! This is over two years old, but I still find it adorable. ^^

Have you posted those before? They seem fimillar... (Your original characters that is) The costplay is cool though. All you need is to make your jacket and add the lace and colar. Then it'll be a perfect converesion.

I forgot to talk about your other pictures, yeah I like the way the you sketched them, the style is very familiar though... hum if only I can put two and two together I'd know why that style is very familiar...

(^_^||| no I'm not talking about any work I've seen form you before... sheesh...

but I've seen it comercially someplace before... hum...)

I have posted the original concept-pictures of Remedy, but as far as I know, not these ones. As for the costume, I would make the accurate shirt if I could find the right fabric. X_X I've also tried looking in clothing stores for simular shirts but have found nothing. Boo.

Oh.. you're so much better than I am. *hides in shame* WHY did I post those craptacular pics?

I remember the first pics of Remedy now.. teh coolness.

.... I like your art. ;_;

You're very skilled at drawing the character designs and pictures themselves, but they have no emotion in them. You need to add color, poses, or even just a nice background to this, but it's still very nifty looking. Like a black and white cell. ^_^

-In summary "Pretty. But boring"

Thank you, and ignore my writhing in jealousy.

I've made up for it in full, but I'm not around a scanner at the moment. >.> I'll have decent UJ fanart with practice, too. Muahahaha.

I read this over, looked at the pictures, and caught on to what Bell02 alpha was mentioning. Seadra Reef, your artwork looks the same. It is completely stagnant! The poses are generally the same, there is generally no background, generally the same shading... It's good that you can put detail into your character designs and you proportion quite well, but where is the heart?! It needs more emotion than maybe slight angst or contempt.
Girl, I know you can write like a goddess, and can portray a thought better that way, but you've got to be able to put a bit more feeling into your artwork. Right now I'm feeling very little from it and am very worried. Maybe if you can put a bit of a story behind the picture (like a sentence long description of why they're doing this action, or why they might be expressing this feeling, you know), it could bring forth the emotions.
Anyway, sorry for the nagging.

I know what you're getting at, VLK, but most of those pictures are simply character designs, so I have to make the costume as visable as possible. And unfortunately, poses really don't work out. I do draw characters with poses and backgrounds, but not very often, simply because I usual don't feel like it. XD Most pictures I draw are either character designs for references or gifts (which is where I will put in a decent pose).

What it all comes down to is simply I don't feel very great about my art--and so I usually keep to character designs, not big poses or such where people won't critique the design, but the actual art. *laughs* That's what happens when your friends draw way too good. XD

A bit of a positive outlook would help. And if is any condolenses (I know I spelt it wrong, I'm so sure of it) I get my butt kicked around by two of my friends. One can color well with pencil crayons and outline well, the other can just draw beeping well. Then again, I like to be in competition with them, and it helps me improve.
If anything, just practice and don't fret.
