Farewells
It had been 3 years since the Ciphers had unleashed the Shadow Lugia. The headquarters of the Ciphers was in ruins. The people of Orre had settled down and things were back to normal.
A young boy named Ian stood outside the Pokemon HQ Lab with a backpack in one hand. The scars from the explosion of the long removed Snag Machine were visible on his other.
“Michael!” He looked back to see his little sister Jovi. She ran up to him and hugged him. “Jovi, what are you doing up, it’s 6 o’clock.”
“I didn’t want you to leave without saying bye to me.” She was crying.
“Don’t cry, I’ll be back for Christmas.”
“But that’s such a long time away!” She begged.
“Don’t worry, the time will go by fast and you can write to me if you want. I’ll just be in Phenac City. It’s not that far away.”
“Ok.” She stopped crying.
“Michael are you ready to leave.” His Mom, Lily came up behind him.
“Yes, I’m ready.” He hugged Jovi and followed his mom.
“Bye Ian!” Jovi waved at him and he waved back.
“Your scooter is back by the garage.” He followed her back there.
“Thanks Mom.” He grabbed the scooter.
“Here are your tickets, the monorail leaves at 7 from Gateon Port. You know how to get there.” She looked like she was about to cry.
“Ok Mom. Don’t worry I’ll be fine.”
“Ok, Good Luck Michael, I love you. Bye!” She hugged him.
“I love you too Mom.” She let go. “Bye!” He started to get on his scooter
“Don’t forget Umbreon.” He turned around to see professor Krane holding a pokeball in his hand. “You almost forgot Umbreon.” He handed Micheal Umbreon’s Pokeball. “Thanks Professor.” He shook his hand.
“Good luck at the academy.” He got on his scooter and started driving away. He looked back and saw his Mom, Jovi, and Professor Krane waving at him. He waved back at them. He rode up the hill and started going down it. He saw the towering lighthouse and the small collection of buildings that lied below it. He took him about ten minutes to get to the city limits. He folded up his scooter and carried in on his shoulder. He walked to the platform of the monorail. He gave his ticket to the conductor and got on the monorail. He found a seat next to a sleeping older man. He could not see his face because it was covered by his long white hair. The man was wearing a purple robe and looked very familiar. The monorail speed out of the station. Ian watched until Gateon Port was out of his sight. The monorail pulled into the Pyrite Town Station about ten minutes later. “Were at the Pyrite Town Station, Next stop, Realgam Tower.” The women said on the speakers. He watched the people get out of their seats to leave. He looked out the window. Pyrite Town has come along way since he was there last. Most of the buildings were renovated and there were more police officers than just Officer Johnson patrolling the streets. All the people were in their seats and the monorail started moving. Pyrite Town soon was out of sight. The old man woke up. “Hello, were am I.” The old man sat up. Ian saw his face and realized that it was his friend Eagun. “O my god! It’s Micheal. How are you.”
“I’m fine. I haven’t seen you since you left for you trip to Fiore.”
“I was on my way home. I left from Fall City this morning, but I guess I slept through the Gateon Port stop. Your looking better, I guess you have fully recovered from the accident.”
“Yes I’m better. I got out of the hospital two months after you left. How was the trip?”
“Oh, it was great. I spent the 2 years studying and exploring the Lyra Forest. I found one of the Ancient Celebi Shrines.”
“That’s an amazing discovery.”
“Where are you going Michael?”
“I’m going to the Phenac Pokemon Academy.”
“Wow! Good job! That’s great that you got in.”
“Were at the Realgam Tower, Next stop Phenac City!”
“Well, it was nice talking to you Ian. I better get of to get on a monorail back to Gateon Port. Good Luck at the Academy Michael.”
“Bye Eagun!” He waved at him and left the monorail with the others. The train started moving again. Michael looked out the window. He watched Phenac City come into sight. “Were at Phenac City, Next Stop Mt. Battle.” Michael grabbed his backpack and his scooter and left the monorail.
