With Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire deoxys is the first and so only only event pokemon to become an ingame legend. Do you think this trend will continue? will other event pokemon slowly become in-game? Maybe but I think they'll need to serve a story line role. And this may or may not only apply to remakes for all we know, maybe gamefreak was like "we have enough event pokemon to many really, let's get rid of one of them" and maybe it won't happen again for another six generations but its fun to speculate.

Mew- A Possbile Kanto remake may or may not be next whether its lighting yellow or inferno fire red or a sequel for the 20th anniversary. And who are the 2 pokemon we think of automatically when we think gen 1? (besides charizard) Mew and mewtwo both of which have literally no story besides being a clone of mew and mew being the ancestor of all pokemon (maybe) A post game story like the delta episode revolving around mew and mewtwo would be awesome maybe we have to catch mew to fight mewtwo or something (or they can just put mew under the truck)

Celebi: Yeah with hg/ss its very unlikely we'll visit johto again (unless crystal remakes happen but also unlikely as hg/ss are really crystal remakes) but who says it has to be johto maybe in the diamond and pearl remakes dialga will have a little post game quest with celbi (assuming dialga isn't catchable)

jirachi: if they were going to let jirachi be catchable it would have been done with these games with deoxys so I don't see it happening.

of all the fourth gen events I only see darkrai being catchable he can have a post game story with cresslia and giratina in the next remakes it would make for a good post game.

keldo in black and white remakes because of the swords of justice, give them a post game plot with him and we're good.

Genesect too...maybe if neo team plasma makes an appearance in the post game of yang black and yin white I can see them using gensect.

Daincie because of carbink.

Thats all I've got leave your thoughts below.

You forgot Arceus, who they could use to expand on Sinnoh's mythology. Other than that, I agree with Mew, Darkrai, Keldeo, Genesect, and Diancie.

What about Manaphy? i mean, we haven't had a Manaphy distribution since its debut generation, and that was only through a side-quest with Pokémon Ranger. IF they're not going to do another Manaphy distribution, then they might as well just have it lose its event status. Otherwise, no one will ever be able to get Manaphy ever again.

Mew would be great for a Kanto remake (or sequel). Have a storyline involving returning to a new area in the Pokemon Mansion and assisting Mr. Fuji, leading up to tracking down Mew across Kanto (Signifigent encounters would include the Vermillion City Dock and Pallet Town) with a final encounter on Mt. Silver, then having a showdown against Mewtwo. Arceus would be great for Sinnoh remakes, and for Unova I could definitely see Keldeo or Genesect.

At the moment, the only strictly event legendaries in gens I to III are Mew, Celebi and Jirachi (the cute 600 BST ones). By that logic, Darkrai and Arceus (Gen IV); and Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect (Gen V) could all lose their event status.

Of these, I think Darkrai is the most likely, since it already has some story in-game without the event. That its counterpart Cresselia was obtainable but not it never made sense to me. Keldeo should be made obtainable, since I really dislike incomplete sets. Arceus and Genesect are both relevant to their games' plots, so there might be a stronger case to make them obtainable like Deoxys.

That ignores the cute legends. Manaphy was obtainable mainly through Ranger: with the absence of this game, they could make it freely available. There's also a case that Victini could lose its event status, since it was possibly the most easily obtainable event legendary and ties into the plot.

Let's not pretend that Deoxys has a notable role in the Delta Episode. Prof. Cozmo only mentions it after the event is over, failing to explain why it merged with the meteoroid (he suggests that it didn't want to destroy Hoenn but was looking for something). In other words, Deoxys has no effect on the plot; the meteoroid would have been a threat anyway. It was basically added to add suspense to the climax, since otherwise Mega Rayquaza would have just destroyed the meteoroid in a few seconds.

I'd say that Deoxys got the short end of the stick in terms of exposition. I'd much rather that Mew and Celebi have important roles in future games even if they remain unobtainable via normal gameplay. More often than not, if a Pokémon is catchable, that's all there is to it.

Took them 18 years to remove the event status from one event mon, expect another bunch of years for another one to lose its event status.

I'd like to be proven wrong though.

I'd like to see Meloetta available in game: However I don't think it will be as likely as the others Unova events legends because it seems unconnected to the metaplot. Genesect was a team plasma experiment, Keldio is the apprentice of the Musketeer trio, and sombody has to has put Victini on that island. All of these could be used to make plots like the Delta Episode. Meloetta, well the closest it has is adapting its arc from the Anime (though it would be interesting, catching an event legendary to tame a trio of legendaries) or something outright silly as an epidemic of a sudden lack of will to sing/dance/be creative or a Footloose parody.

Even outside of Unova, there are other legendaries with more plot relevance than it; Darkrai, Arceus, Mew, maybe Shaymin and Celebi

I actuality have a theory that if Game freak does continue the trend (and I think they will) an it will be 1 per region per generation
  • Gen 4 remakes will get either Darkeai or Arceus (betting on the former because the latter is...GOD)
  • Gen 5 remakes will get Keldio (Like I said the pony has more plot relevance than Meloetta)
  • Gen 1 re-remakes a will get Mew
  • Gen 2 re-remakes will get Celebi
  • and Gen 3 re-remakes Will get Jirachi

Wrong lord helix is god...xD

So we basically fought the jesus of pokemon (altough he didn't die and come back) in rayquaza since he's seen as a savior and God to the people of hoenn

and in x.y remakes we get daiancie someone needs to ask why deoxys and not jirachi in masudas next interview
