What's this? Feliciano's making an OU team? Yeah, well, with 'Mence gone from standard battling, I figured, why not? I think I have enough pokemon already bred to form a team, so please bear in mind that, at the moment, this is pretty much all I've got.

Changes in Bold

Spr_4p_437.png

Bronzong@Leftovers
Levitate
Relaxed nature
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Atk / 80 Def / 92 SpD
-- Stealth Rock
-- Hypnosis
-- Earthquake
-- Gyro Ball

Setup lead. It's worked well for me in the past, and I figured I'd dust it off to use again. Puts the opponent to sleep, then sets up Stealth Rock and attacks with either Gyro Ball or EQ. I don't like Explosion -- it feels like too much of a waste, honestly.

Spr_4h_130_m_s.png

Gyarados@Leftovers
Adamant nature
EVs: 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
-- Dragon Dance
-- Taunt
-- Waterfall
-- Stone Edge

Gyarados takes care of the massive Mixape weakness this team has. Also functions as my team's physical sweeper.

Spr_4p_485.png

Heatran@Choice Scarf
Rash nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
-- Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-- Earth Power
-- Dragon Pulse
-- Explosion

Standard Scarftran, bar HP Psychic. It's what it got, and I wasn't about to SR this girl -- plus, HP Psychic can get the jump on Fighting types who think that they can walk all over her. Revenge killer, mainly. I haven't EV trained her yet, and I need to put Earth Power on her, but I think she'll work out just fine. Apparently, as much as I hate the move, I MUST use Explosion otherwise Heatran is nigh-unusable. ¬.¬;;

Spr_4h_251.png

Celebi@Life Orb
Modest nature
EVs: 232 HP / 244 SpA / 32 Spe
-- Thunder Wave
-- Leaf Storm
-- Psychic
-- Recover

Breloom got the boot, I guess. *grumble* Modest is the nature I've got, so that's just going to have to be dealt with. The Hidden Power wasn't anything useful, so dual STAB will be used. Recover mitigates Life Orb recoil, since it's got Natural Cure to take care of status.

Spr_4h_073_s.png

Tentacruel@Black Sludge
Calm
Liquid Ooze
EVs: 254 HP/120 Def/136 Sp. Def
-- Toxic Spikes
-- Rapid Spin
-- Surf
-- Ice Beam

I figured I needed a Rapid spinner as well as another check to Mixape, and Tentacruel fit the bill perfectly. Also sets up some entry hazards of it's own. Ice Beam over HP or Sludge Bomb in case it turns out that 'Mence ISN'T banned in this tournament.

Spr_4p_448_s.png

Lucario@Choice Specs
Steadfast
Modest nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe
-- Aura Sphere
-- Shadow Ball
-- Dragon Pulse
-- Vacuum Wave

Standard special sweeper. Not much else to say, really. IIRC, the Hidden Power type wasn't anything useful, so Dragon Pulse got put in it's place.

...Well bust my balls. So they are. ...What if I replaced Regice with Regirock and put a Flygon in over something else?

Looks good.

Regice@Expert Belt
Bold nature
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
-- Ice Beam
-- Thunderbolt
-- Rest
-- Sleep Talk

Yes, I should probably find another leftovers for my status absorber. I'm getting on that. Expert Belt works surprisingly well in tandem with the BoltBeam combination, though.
Regice has plenty of Special Defense already, so why not boost its Defense? Or is Sassy what you ended up with?

Spr_4p_485.png

Heatran@Choice Scarf
Rash nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
-- Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-- Earth Power
-- Dragon Pulse/Explosion
-- Hidden Power (Psychic)

Standard Scarftran, bar HP Psychic. It's what it got, and I wasn't about to SR this girl -- plus, HP Psychic can get the jump on Fighting types who think that they can walk all over her. Breloom
Poison Heal
Adamant nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-- Spore
-- Stone Edge/ThunderPunch
-- Seed Bomb
-- Sky Uppercut/Focus Punch

My physical beast. I like using Protect, I think it's really useful, but I'll probably get rid of it for Substitute and replace Sky Uppercut with Focus Punch.

This Breloom is pretty screwed by Flying-types.

Spr_4h_251.png

Celebi@Life Orb
Modest nature
EVs: 232 HP / 244 SpA / 32 Spe
-- Thunder Wave
-- Leaf Storm
-- Psychic/U-Turn
-- Rest

Yes, yes, it's the CeleTran combo. But Celebi's acting more like an annoyer here, rather than a completely offensive threat. I'm unsure of what Hidden Power type it has, but I don't think it's Fire, so Psychic or U-Turn fill that slot. Natural Cure means I don't have to worry about Rest leaving me helpless for 2 turns.
Looks good. Go with U-Turn for scouting.

Lucario@Choice Specs
Steadfast
Modest nature
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe
-- Aura Sphere
-- Dark Pulse
-- Dragon Pulse
-- Vacuum Wave

Like I said before, if you're locked into Shadow Ball, you'll be forced to switch Lucario out when a Normal Pokemon comes in.

Standard special sweeper. Not much else to say, really. IIRC, the Hidden Power type wasn't anything useful, so Dragon Pulse got put in it's place.

Comments/suggestions in bold.

Since Regice has a poor defensive typing (Ice), you can go with Machamp instead for status absorption:
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-DynamicPunch
-Payback
Item: Expert Belt(?)
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe

I like the (regi) Rock over Ice change. If you switched fer Flygon, though I hate saying to do it, I would get rid of Breloom. Flygon can be as much of a physical sweeper as Breloom.

Mmm...Sassy's what I ended up with.

Yeah, I'd hate to get rid of Breloom, too...it's gotten me out of more than a few close calls :-/ Then again, Flygon's one of my favorite pokemon...but I can't remember if the one I have is hacked or not D:

Now that I think about it...though my Regirock runs a Curse set, I think it could fill Regice's spot quite nicely.

so ya its a good team i would replace regice with regirock

Now that you've put Regirock in there, I can't help but think of giving it some Sandstorm support via Tyranitar/Hippowdon. I dunno on what Pokemon to replace for those, but I'm leaning towards Heatran. Maybe a Choice Scarf Tyranitar will help (it still revenge kills, even though it's slower than Heatran)?:
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Earthquake/Superpower
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Item: Choice Band

EQ and Stone Edge provide good coverage already, so you can drop Fire Punch for Rest (you don't have to if you don't want Regirock to be out of action for 2 turns).

If I'm going to replace anything on this team, I'm pretty damn sure it's gonna be Breloom (sad as I'd be to see him go). While Sandstorm support works well for Regirock, the only problem with Tyranitar is that, as I said before, all of these guys are already bred/caught. Let's get one thing straight: I SUCK at breeding. With my luck, no matter how I try to manipulate it, I'd be more likely to get a SHINY than a decent competitive baby. Plus, t-tar kinda gives redundant coverage.

I would honestly switch out Regirock for Swampert(Grass weakness covered by basically everyone other than Lucario) and it can also Curse. And a Swampert could also come in on Water attacks aimed at Tran and you wouldn't have to switch to Celebi or Breloom to resist it.

And I would also go with either of the three standard Breloom sets(Sub+Seed, Sub+Punch, or Spore+SD).

Also absolutely NOTHING on this team can deal with Gyarados. This is bad because he is still very standard and after a DD both Bulky and LO Gyara will just run wild on this team. I suggest probably just going with Swampert and sticking maybe Stone Edge on it. No offense but if the player is smart he could definitely cause you a lot of pain with a Gyarados.

A Cursepert? Hm...what if it had Curse+Rest+Sleep Talk+Waterfall/Stone Edge? It also means I can use Swampert can absorb status.

Ah I know you have Shoddy so I would suggest you to test it out a lot.

You could do it in a few ways like Rest/Curse/Waterfall/Stone Edge with Chesto Berry, or Rest/Sleep Talk/Waterfall/Curse...but you're gonna need quite a few Curses to take out Gyara with Waterfall because of Intimidate and he resists your STAB attack...and if it's a Bulky set he can Taunt you and bam...no more healing or boosting your stats. I would just go with Stone Edge in your set somewhere unless you can somehow give Heatran HP Electric(although you're gonna have to watch out how you switch it in, and if you're gonna be faster after they DD once, I mean Jolly Max Speed Gyara outspeeds things like Timid Jolteon after a DD). So imo Swampert is your best bet because he can take any hit Gyara throws at you...just make sure to have like 2-3 Curses up.

But yeah just make sure to test it a lot.

Um..Shoddy hasn't worked on my computer in at least six months. D:

I can't get any other Hidden Power on Heatran, unless I wanted to bust out my Platinum version and actually do that sidequest.

Even if I put Swampert on this team, I came to a realization today -- this team is INCREDIBLY weak to Mixape. Maybe if I put a bulky Tentacruel or a bulky Gyarados of my own on this team?

Yeah either would work great to counter MixApe. Just depends on which you prefer.

Gyarados can beat other Gyarados(with Stone Edge) and Tentacruel can beat both Ape and Gyarados with Surf and HP Electric(but some Gyarados carries EQ).

I think I'll try for a Gyarados -- I've been wanting to restart my HG version, anyway ^_^;;

All right -- I'll put Gyarados in. Over...Regirock, was it?

First post is edited to include Gyarados over Regirock. Now I'm considering replacing Breloom with Flygon even more, to absorb any Electric attacks I see coming.

Breloom resists Electric attacks as well, but it doesn't take them as well as Flygon can. You can go with this if you want to replace Breloom with Flygon:
-Draco Meteor
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Roost/U-turn
Nature: Rash/Naive
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 80 Atk/252 SAtk/176 Spe
