Out of these games...

If I were to get another Switch Pokemon game, what would be the best choice between ScarVio, Rescue Team DX, and New Snap? I know the anniversary is coming up, and potentially new game(s) along with it, but I figure anything announced then would be Switch 2 exclusive, which I don't plan on getting any time in the near future. So this is likely the closest I'll be getting to a 'new' Pokemon experience for a while.

It depends on your prior experience with Pokemon and video games in general. ScarVio is the only mainline game listed; the other two play very differently from the regular RPG formula.

Almost forgot about this thread; I'm well aware that these are all different genres. I was just wondering what people consider to be the best of the three, as they are all genres I happen to like. I already ordered a copy of Violet yesterday anyway for mixed parts playing with friends that have it and. Lokix.

Scarlet/Violet are my favorite main series Pokemon games, so I think that you'd enjoy them. There are so many great new Pokemon, fun characters and a solid engaging story. I remember being so happy that I avoided spoilers for the storyline, especially since I was spoiled on major twists in both Sword/Shield and Legends Arceus.

Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX was pretty fun, but I don't know if it's the best introduction into that spin-off series. New Pokemon Snap was pretty fun too, but I think you'd be able to get more bang for your buck with Scarlet/Violet.

I do like ScVi but it has some noticiable flaws
