2 issues I've had so far with the release in Australia.

1. Packaging
These boxes, for both the starters and boosters, are damn hard to get open. It's impossible to do it safely with just your hands, with the type of plastic used. You have to use scissors. This removes a lot of the excitement of a TCG game, where you want to be able to rip that packet open ASAP, and read the rules on the bus or car ride home. That you have to open them with scissors also makes them useless for holding the figures after you've opened the packet and taken a look at what you got. Which brings me to my second point.

2. Figure Transport
They're going to need special figure cases or something for these, just so people can take them to their friends house or whatever, without having to worry about them being broken. While the figures themselves are strong, I've already seen 2 (thankfully not mine) get ripped from their bases by inappropriate handling and/or storage. While that can be fixed with a bit of super glue maybe, it's still an issue to be concerned about.

hey liam, i used my teeth and a key to open my 2 booster packs before i went to the league the other day :p

I'm finding at this point in time that the figures can get *very* fragile after long periods of use, and really need to be treated with care when transporting them. Finding something commercially available to transport them safely seems to be limited currently to some expensive miniature boxes from companies like Games Workshop. It may be possible to go down to a local foam store and get some pieces cut at the right sizes for transport. That's a bit of an effort though. If the game becomes really popular, and Nintendo doesn't start offering their own boxes to transport these things (or change the packaging so it doesn't have to be ripped apart, so we could transport them in those), I may just end up ordering some of that cut foam in bulk, and selling them online myself. ^^;;
