Hi - I've just joined this forum so forgive me if this is somewhere already...

Right, I've just found my old copy of Pokémon Emerald version, and decided to transfer some of the pokémon from it onto my copy of Pearl before I restarted the game. The save file worked when I started using it, however when I then turned it off and attempted to transfer pokémon on it onto Pearl version, it wouldn't allow me to migrate them, and when I returned to Emerald I was informed that the save file was corrupted.

Repeated experiments tell me that this is only happens when I try to migrate pokémon, and happens with both my DS Lite, and my housemate's DS Lite.

I'm assuming this is a problem with the Emerald cartridge itself, but is there any way to sort this out, or am I basically screwed trying to grab myself some Gen3 legendaries?

Cheers for the help chaps :)

Your Emerald is a hacked/bootleg. If a bootleg copy of the Gen3 games tries to migrate Pokémon to D/P/P, it deletes the save file completely or corrupts the save file. There is no way to transfer Pokémon from a bootleg'd cartridge to D/P/P (and possibly HG/SS).

Like Takoto said, your game may be a fake.

You could've gone to the Simple Questions thread...

Fair enough - I've had it a while and didn't think it was a fake, but I guess you guys know your stuff more than I do.
