Palentines' celebrations begin in Pokémon Masters EX for 2026, with a brand new Story Event and debut of Rika's new Seasonal Sync Pair with Quagsire

It's not even February yet, but new seasonal content is arriving today in Pokémon Masters EX, with the first of two new Seasonal Sync Pairs making their debut today alongside the new Dressed to Give Thanks Story Event in celebration of Palentine's Day. Palentine's Day is just like Valentine's Day, only instead of celebrating romantic love, it's for celebrating your love for your friends and pals.

Story Event: Dressed to Give Thanks
Breaking slightly with the past few years of Palentine's event which were focused around cooking for friends, Dressed to Give Thanks sees Rika and Adaman instead looking to thanks others for their special Palentine's Day sweets and gifts. This event will run through to February 16th, at 9:59pm (PST).

This event follows the simplified format for Story Events, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Players will need to collect a total of 10,000 Event Points for this event in order to receive all possible rewards. Featured event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Field Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feathers 113 and 114, custom Sync Orbs for Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire and Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon, and Lucky Cookies for Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire, Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon, and Misty & Starmie. All players will also receive two pieces of special artwork in-game by completing the story's finale.

As usual for events of this type, players will receive bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon: +60% (×1.6) Bonus Rewards (from January 31st, at 10:00pm (PST))
Victor (Palentines' 2024) & Greedent, Mallow (Palentines 2023) & Appletun, Elesa (Palentines' 2023) & Togetic, Marnie (Palentines' 2022) & Mawile, Bea (Palentines' 2022) & Vannilluxe, Serena (Palentines 2021) & Whimsicott, Dawn (Palentines' 2021) & Alcremie, : +40% (×1.4) Bonus Rewards
All other Sync Pairs with the Sinnoh or Paldea Theme Skills: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire, Victor (Palentines' 2024) & Greedent, and Mallow (Palentines 2023) & Appletun would grant a combined +140% (×2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.

Event Gem Specials
In conjunction with the Dressed to Give Thanks Story Event, the following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until February 18th, 2025, at 9:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems.

Rika Seasonal Scouts
Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire are making their debut in a set of Seasonal Scouts alongside the launch of the Dressed to Give Thanks Story Event. The Rika Seasonal Scout and Rika Seasonal Tiered Scout will run through to February 16th, at 9:59pm (PDT). The associated Rika Seasonal Featured Ticket Scout, and Rika Seasonal Guaranteed Ticket Scout meanwhile will run through to February 23rd, at 9:59pm (PST).

Rika (Palentine's 2026) & Quagsire are a Ground-type Strike (Special) Sync Pair with a Field EX Role. When raised to 6★ EX, Rika's outfit is reversed, with a black and purple jacket over a grey-ish purple top and white pants.

The Rika Seasonal Scout gives players bonus presents for the first three times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11, awarding Strike Move Candy Coins each time. The Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. As the name suggests, these daily discounts can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

In addition to the regular Seasonal Scout, players can also take advantage of an Rika Seasonal Tiered Scout. This scouts has ten tiers, each of which is a Sync Pair Scout ×11. Players are able to scout once on each tier by using Paid Gems, with the amount of gems increasing with each tier. Additionally, Tiers 5 and 10 of the Scout grants the player special tickets to use in the associated Rika Seasonal Featured Ticket Scout and Rika Seasonal Guaranteed Ticket Scout.

Rika (Palentine's) Gem Emote
A special Gems with Gym Emotes offer is available from the in-game shop alongside the Rika Seasonal Scouts, allowing players to obtain a Rika (Palentine's) Gym Emote as a present. This offer, which comes with 250 paid gems, can be purchased under the With Emotes tab in the Purchase Gems menu of the in-game shop until February 16th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Photo Frame Missions
A special set of 3 missions are now available, allowing players to earn a special Palentine's Photo Frame to use in the Photo Creator.

Mission 1: Use stamina (/100) - Gems ×50
Mission 2: Use stamina (/200) - Gems ×100
Mission 3: Use stamina (/300) - Gems ×100

Completing all 3 missions will also award players with Frame: No. 48. Players who have previously received either Frame: No. 48 will receive a 3★ Power-Up Instead.
