Forget Hikari, two other Ash ships are rising with the transition into D/P. I suppose it was natural that PalletShipping would return with Gary but Shinji seems to be grabbing all the newcomers to Ash yaoi.

So discuss/debate/flame/whatever....
 
I'm going with Shinji, I never really shipped Gary/Ash together plus Shinji is one of my favorite rivals for Ash and has an attitude towards Ash. Some one needs to make a Shinji/Ash thread on the Serebii forums ^_^
 
It seems to me that Shinji acts like the rival from the GS games. Meaning that there's really no kind of comraderie or anything between he and Ash. Plus Shinji is actually kind of evil and treats Pokemon badly. My friend Alex commented that they seem more like just people who have a disagreement about training practices than they seem like actual rivals.
 
Dunno. It apparently has something to do with EVA.
 
I haven't gotten the chance to watch the new episodes just yet, but I'm a non cannon palletshipper at heart. Don't think that's going anywhere anytime soon.
 
Palletshipping is sort of vaguely appealling right now, but it might not be for long if the scary fans who think it's canon make a reappearance. Ash/Shinji... isn't doing anything for me. Dunno why. Shinji is a bit too repellant (in a good way) to pair up with anyone. I just can't picture it. My DP-ship of choice right now is probably Bouldershipping.
 
What exactly is scary about thinking it's canon? Most Palletshippers don't believe that ANY ship will ever happen on the show, but a lot of us believe that the Palletshipping hints were placed there purposefully by the writers.

Well.... Shinji and Ash are almost kinda cute togeher but since I'm now a ShinjixFalkner fangirl, it's kinda tough, so I voted none.
However, ShinjixAsh may grow on me...... Shinji's hotness is just crying for a hot ship.
 
I say Gary...*smirk* Ash doesn't approve of Shinji's battle tactics, basically 'cause he uses Pokemon like tools, so that already sets up a bit of anti-Shinji within Ash...Palletshipping's still got potential! ^^
 
I'm not a huge fan of yaoi, cause I prefer yuri (Omgzz..Mandi is a lesbian). o_o;

But eh. I love shipping Ash with men, because that's who he belongs with. He doesn't care for girls. So I support him with both. Though I wouldn't say I really love the shippings. But I do like Palletshipping more than Coma.
 
Both...But Comashipping is my OTP at the moment. That could change any time, though. o_O And I still love Pallet, always have done. ^^

I do adore both Pallet- and Comashipping, but if I had to choose then Comashipping wins.
It's just to uncanny that I love it.

Screw canonships, crackshippings are where it's at! 8D
 
I was never a fan of Palletshipping. I dunno why, I just wasn't >.<

Perhaps because back in the day I was too young to notice anything. Heck, it never even occured to me that Ash and Misty might like each other until IU heard that brainwashing song on the CD. I was vair impressionable at that age ^^;

Shinji for the win!
