Well guys, my last story failed miserably, but, I really can't complain, it wasn't very good. But this, this i've put effort, a lot of effort, into! I hope you all enjoy the Prolouge, and the rest of the story once it gets put up!

Chapter 1: Mole Meteor!
--------------------------

A peaceful night in Mushroom Kingdom, Toad Town, to be exact. The busily prepares for the annual Meter Celebration, which occurs every two years. The Toads prepare a big festival, and Princess Peach gives a big speech. Now, Bowser seems to be inactive around this time, being that it’s his birthday, so the Toads usually send him a big meteor shaped cake, even though he’s been a big thorn in their side for many years.

The Mario Brothers also happen to celebrate, having a party at their house until it’s time for Peach’s speech. The guest have just begun arriving, and Luigi is serving them mushroom shaped cookies. “Welcome everyone, have a cookie, chat, and enjoy yourselves! Mario should be ready anytime now.” Luigi announced to the crowd, who resumed chatting. Mario finished clipping his overalls together, and exited the bathroom. He greeted some of the guest, and chatted with others. The party continued, until some “special” guest arrived.

“Hey Mario! We finally arrived for the party!” A Goomba with a blue cap called out. This was Goombario, the first person to join Mario on his quest to retrieve the Star Rod form Bowser when he stole it all those years ago. His other friends from that journey arrived. A Koopa with a blue shell and a red bandana waved at Mario. This was Koops, the second person. He had become a famous explorer since that epic quest.

The next person who entered was a pink Bob-omb, with a fiery attitude. She was Bombette, who joined in the fight against the Koopa Bros. She became a talk show host after their journey. The next was a Paratroopa, who wore a satchel and aviators cap. He was Parakerry, Mario’s, and the rest of Toad Town’s, mailman. He asked for Mario’s assistance in finding lost letters in Mt. Rugged.

The next was a Boo, who was a pale green color. She had two red and yellow bows adorned on her head, and always carried a fan on her. She was Bow, a very rich Boo. She became an actress, starring in many movies. The next was a small ball of electricity. She had grown up over the years. She was Watt, a small child Mario had saved in Shy Guy’s Toybox. The next was a Cheep-Cheep who ran a small daycare on Yoshi’s Island. Mario helped her retrieve lost Yoshi children who were playing hide-and-seek.

The last was a Lakitu, who had a shell colored like a watermelon. He had large red sunglasses. This was Lakilester, or, as he liked to be called, Spike. He had worked for Huff N. Puff’s army, until he lost a fight with Mario. He had become the leader of the Mushroom Kingdom’s defensive forces. They all crowded around Mario, reminiscing about their past adventures, and what has been happening in their lives since then. Suddenly, Luigi yelled out to the party.

“Everyone, Princess Peach is ready for her announcements. She says we should all head down now!” The crowd pilled out off the house and down to the town. Mario, Luigi, and his friends went out together, after they locked the house up. The group eventually got to the town. Peach noticed them arrive, and decided to start her speech.

“Welcome, everyone, to the 22nd annual Meteor Festival, I am sure you’ve all had a great time at the Mario’s, as i’m sure you’ll have fun during the festival itself. Now, as this festival is mine to preside over, I have decided to give it a special theme this year. Stars. This might not seem like the most amazing in the world, but, its never been done before, and, most of Mario’s adventures has dealt with stars, for those who hadn’t noticed. Now-” Peach stopped. The crowd, completely confused, started talking to themselves. “Why did she stop?”, “Is it over?”, “Do we start the festival now?”. Their questions were soon to be answered, though, as someone cried out.

“Everybody, run! Meteors are going to hit us!” A toad cried as it leaped from the crowd. Everybody turned around, to see the flaming balls streaking towards them. They all cried, and fled. Peach could not, however, move. She was frozen in complete fear, and would’ve been hit, if not, of course, for Mario. He took a great leap onto the stage, and grabbed Peach.

One of the meteors crashed right next to Mario, almost hitting him. He sped off the stage, and sat the dazed princess down, and returned to his friends. “We’ve gotta get out of here!” Spike cried, dodging another flaming rock.

“Oh, I don’t think you guys are goin’ anywhere!” A scratchy voice cried out. The group turned around, and saw a Koopa with large, circular glasses. His large, blue robes stretched over his feet. It was Kamek, loyal follower of King Bowser, and care taker of Bowser Jr.

“I thought Bowser never attacked during this time!” Bow said, pulling out her fan.

“Well, little miss superstar, you thought wrong!” Kamek laughed. “He’s been planning this attack for years. The other plots were just a test to see how you would react to different plans. But now, Mario, it’s time for you to perish!” Kamek flew down to Mario, and pointed his wand at him. “Prepare! I will end your game!” The Magikoopa launched a blast, shooting Mario into the air.

“Mario~” Peach, and the others, cried. But, they could do nothing, as they watched Mario sail over the forest. “Now, for you guys. Master will be most pleased with capturing you!”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The plumber flew, crashing into high trees, but never slowed down in the slightest. Why was that magic attack so strong? Mario crashed through the canopy, and landed on... something. “Mwold mu ge owf meh?” The muffled voice asked. Mario crawled off, plopping right next to the person. It was a dark crimson Bob-omb, with orange feet.

“Hey, man, you don’t look so good. And you look familiar. Have I met you before? No, I don’t think I have... oh well! Here, eat this Mushroom, that should heal ya right up!” She said cheerfully. Mario weakly grabbed the Mushroom, and ate it thankfully. A small glow surrounded him, and he stood up.

“You okay now? That’s good, who are you any way?” She said, but continued before Mario could answer. “I’m Cherry! I kind of got lost... doing something. I can’t actually remember what I was doing... maybe it’s because you landed on me. Is there a reason you came from the sky anyway?” She asked.

Mario told the talkative bomb his story, and about the festival itself. “Huh... that’s odd! You said Browser, or Bowser, has never attacked before, right? So what would be different this year?... I really couldn’t tell ya. But, you know, I could go with you to Toad Town and see if everyone’s alright!” She suggested. Mario nodded, and the two set off.

Congratulations! The Bob-omb Cherry has joined your party! With her Bomb attack, she’ll explode all the enemies in your path, and her Tattle ability will give you any information you ask for!

Mario and Cherry walked through the small forest just outside Toad Town. They hadn’t really encountered much, maybe a few butterflies here, some birds there. They continued walking, Cherry strangely silent. Suddenly, they heard a thump. The two stopped, and faced the direction from which the sound came.

“W... whatchu’ guys lookin’ at!?” A voice cried from the nearby voice. Mario pointed a finger at himself. “Yes you, dimwit! I’m just relaxing in this here bush, and definitely not something suspicious! You believe me, right?”

Mario shook his head, and smashed the bush with his hammer.
“OWOWOWOWOWOW!” A Koopa flew out, and landed on his shell. “Awww man! They foiled my ambush! Heh, ambush... a-anyway, I gotta warn Kamek you guys are comin’!” It said as it ran toward the town.

“Well... that was interesting. Maybe we better hurry Mario, that Koopa said he was going to tell Komick, I mean Kamek. Come on!” She said, and started ahead. The two entered the town, and gasped at the sight. Homes and shops were completely destroyed, leaving barren craters in the ground. The castle was almost torn in half.

“Those meteors sure did a lot! Why did they hit you guys this year? Huh... maybe it’s one of Kemaks, uh, Kamek’s new spells? I don’t know... look, maybe we should get to the place where the speech was taking place, maybe someone is there!” She said. Mario and Cherry rushed to the podium, only to find a Magikoopa.

“Oh crud! Mario and a Bob-omb? If I take you out, I could get a promotion! But if I lose, Kamek will end my game...” The Magikoopa turned his back on the two, in deep thought.

“Psst... Mario, we should sneak attack him right now!” She whispered. Mario nodded, and the two ran up to the wizard, and hit him.

“AUGH!” He cried as he thumped to the ground. Suddenly, the ground started to shake, and the two jumped back. A large hole opened in the ground, and the unconscious Magikoopa slipped in. “Hey! You guys weren’t supposed to dodge my attack!” A voice cried out. Kamek flew down on his broomstick, and raised his wand. “Come and get me, TUBBY!”

Mario and Cherry jumped towards the magical turtle, who shouted out some words.

“Have fun with the moles!” He cried, and a blast shot out of the wooden wand, and hit the two in midair. They froze in place, and fell into the hole, which closed almost immediately. “Heh... I win”

Alright guys, time for Chapter 1! I would like some reviews please, it would help churn out the chapters.

Chapter 1: Mole Meteor

Mario and Cherry slammed into the ground, miraculously not breaking anything. Mario got up, every joint and bone creaking. He walked over towards Cherry, and shook her awake. “Ugh... oh man! What a fall, you okay Mario?” She asked, to which Mario replied with a nod. “That’s good. So... I guess we should find someone to help us! The Monty Mole Village should be around here somewhere...” the bomb started walking, and Mario followed suit.

They traveled along the rugged landscape, tripping over rocks and rubble. They soon found a light far off, shining brightly in the dark cave like underground. “Hey, think that’s a city? I bet it is... hey, Mario, before we go, I’ve gotta rest, and we don’t know how far the city is... could we rest?” She sighed. Mario nodded, and the two found the most suitable place they could find, and slept.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
“Wh... what?” Cherry was shocked. She would never harm another living thing! Well... except maybe those who hurt him but, most people didn’t hurt him, so, she was kind’ve a creampuff.

“Oh, but dear sweet Cherry, I need you to do this, see, if you don’t that man will harm me! Please, for me?” A voice called out.

“A... all right, I guess.” Cherry said, and she jumped off of the small platform she had been standing on. This would be easy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
The two woke up and started on their trek towards what they hoped to be a city, all the while, though, Cherry was thinking about her dream. “What was all that?” She thought to herself. Mario looked at the Bob-omb worriedly. She would usually be talking, but right now, she didn’t seem to be herself.

“Hey, you two! Did you fall from that hole?” A nasally voice called out to the travelers. The two jumped, and looked at the direction of the sound. There, a few inches away, was a Monty Mole. He had a miner’s cap on, and dark green overalls covering a yellow shirt. He held a pickax in his hand, and it dragged along the ground, making a dull scratch whenever he moved.

“Oh, yeah, we did. How did you know?” Cherry asked inquisitively.

“Oh, we had another one earlier. He left through the Forbidden Stairs though... well, anyway, I am Morty Mole, nice to meetcha!” He extended his claw out, which was encrusted with dirt. Mario shook the hand, and Cherry greeted him.

“So, do you guys need some help gettin’ to the city? I’ll goes witcha, I was going home for lunch anyway.” He asked. The two nodded in gratitude, and the group started down the long dusty path to the town.

Congratulations! Morty Mole joined the party! With his mighty strength, he’ll toss rocks at your enemies, or strike them with his pickax!

The party, with Morty in the lead, traveled on the dusty, dirty road leading to the city. “So, how did that there hole appear? Seemed to big to be natural.” The mole asked.

“Well... you know Bewsor, er, Bowser? Well, his son’s baby-sitter, Keemic, uh, Kamek, attacked Toad Town during the Meteor Festival.” Cherry replied, lost in thought.

“Hrm... sounds quite interestin’. Look, why don’t we go get somethin’ ta eat now, we’re all hungry.” Morty said, just as Mario’s stomach rumbled. Mario and Cherry nodded, and the group entered the town.

The buildings were made out of many different types a metal, steel, diamond. There were three businesses in the town, named Monty Meadows. A store, an inn, and a mining business, for which Morty soon hoped to work for. “Welp, ready for some grub?” The mammal said, and the group entered the petite inn.

“Oh, hello, welcome to the Monty Meadow’s Inn! I am Darla. Are you resting for the night, or looking for food?” A Toad with pink dots on her mushroom hat asked.

“Food please.” Cherry replied politely.

“Alright, i’ll get back to you with some menus in a second.” She said, and walked behind her counter.

After the trio finished their lunch, they left the inn and stood in the middle of the town, next to a large, stone fountain. “Hm... I have a few minutes before I go back minin’... why don’t I show you my house, I found this weird thing, with a note attached to it. It fell down with that Magikoopa guy, come on!” Morty said, and started waddling towards a small hut, made of a dark stone.

“Ah, here!” He said, as he held up a dark red stone, which, indeed, had a small sticky not attached.

“Okay, Butch, this is the Meteor-shard from that weird meteor we found. Keep it from Mario, if he happens to find you. When all of the pieces we broke off were near me, I felt completely drained and powerless! If Mario finds this one, the other six are still safe with the other guards.”
~Kamek

“Mario! That’s a huge clue! We should keep this with us, so we can defeat Kamek. Did I get that right? Anyway, is that all right if we keep that, Morty?” Cherry asked urgently.

“W... well, I am kind’ve protective ‘o it... maybe if I could travel with you guys? How ‘bout it?” Morty suggested.

“Well, that’d be dandy!” Cherry said. All of a sudden, the nearby window shattered, the shards almost hitting the group. “Wh... what was that?!?!”

“I’m afraid I can’t let you have that! Master Kamek would be very displeased!” Butch, the Magikoopa who previously had indecision about attacking them, cried as he swiped the Meteor-shard. “Now, if you don’t mind me, I am going to the stairs and leave!” And with that, he shot out of the window.

“We’ve gotta get that back!” Morty yelped. The party rushed out of the house, and started chasing after the flying turtle. “WAIT~! We can’t, I... I just can’t go near those dern stairs! They’re forbidden. Terrible monsters hide there!” The mole cried.

“Morty, you would’ve had to have went up them eventually to go with us! Come on, we’ll protect you.” Cherry offered.

“A... alright, I guess.” Morty sighed. And with that, they grouped continued running after the wayward Magikoopa.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Darn, Butch! Mario and his nasty friends’ll get you! Ergh... he was always an idiot!
Oh well, I do have other guards, much stronger than Butch... in fact, the next one should be in place now, i’ll give him a call...”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morty huffed as his small, tubby feet dragged against the ground. He wasn’t exactly the fittest mole in the bunch. “Guh... guys! Wuh... we’re... nuh... near the... steh... steps!” He huffed out. The large, marble stairs did indeed come into view quickly.

Two large rocks lay on either side if the steps, looking quite... rugged. The group stopped once they saw the robed Koopa. “Heh, you guys will never get my shard! I gave it to these rocks!”

“Uh... you can’t exactly give rocks things, unless they are alive.” Cherry replied.

“Argh, you infuriating Bob-omb! I wasn’t finished! I turned them into Cleft Golems, they’ll crush you, and then I can come back for the Meteor piece! GO~!” Butch screamed, and the ground started rumbling as he flew outside.

Giant, purple shoes popped out on the giant rocks, which flipped around. They had large, hollow eyes with small yellow lights serving as pupils. A large spike resonated between the eyes. They both jumped forward, ready for a fight.

“Ah! Mario, this is our first real fight, be careful! Morty, you okay to fight?” Cherry asked hurriedly. Morty nodded, and made the first move.

He leaped up, and struck down with his pickax, slashing the Golem in front. It shuffled it’s feet in anger, and tried to jump on the trio, but missed. Mario smashed with his hammer, making the first Cleft stuck. Cherry jumped in between the two and exploded, killing the first one.

The remaining one kicked Cherry, smashing her against the wall. She slumped to the ground in pain. “Are ya okay!?” Morty called. Cherry weakly shook her head. Mario returned to the fight, hitting the Golem’s foot, making it jump in pain. Morty ran under it and grabbed it.

“HURAGHH!” Morty grunted loudly, and tossed it at the large metal door at the top of the stairs, breaking it open. All that was remaining was the Meteor-shard, glistening in the now shining sunlight.

“Yay! My shard! It’s back!” Morty rejoiced happily as he jumped around, coddling the rock.

Congratulations! You got the Crimson Meteor-shard! It gives Mario a brilliant new power, Heat Storm! He can do fire damage to all enemies, and can also power up Cherry’s Bomb ability!

“Well, now that that’s over, wanna go rest at the inn? We can set out tomorrow!” Cherry asked, tiredly. The two men nodded, and they set off back for the city.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Argh! Butch was beaten, even with his special Golems! Well, tomorrow, Mario and his stupid party will wish they weren’t born! Right now, though, I have to check on Peach and those annoying friends of Mario’s.” Kamek grumbled.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hmm... this is the picture of the man Master is lookin’ for... huh... looks old~” Cherry said, as she studied the wanted poster that had been everywhere at the lair. The train she was riding hit a large bump, sending her flying of the bed, and making her let go of the picture.

It flew out the open window. “Oh no! Crud... I can’t go back to Master’s without ending that man’s game, but, now I don’t know what he looks like well enough! What if I hurt an innocent person... I guess I should get sleep... sigh...” She climbed back into the uncomfortable bed. She hated her job sometimes.

Alright, here is the latest chapter. I really would enjoy some reviews guys, I know people are reading this, because I have 45 views! So, please?

Chapter 2: Convention Catastrophe!
The trio shoved the door open, squinting once the full sunlight hit their eyes. After being in the dark underground for so long, it took awhile to get used to, especially for Morty. They looked around the environment, which was a small forest that had harmless Buzzy Beetles roaming around. A large gray building loomed in front of the party.

“Woah... what do ya think this building is used for, Mario?” Cherry asked as she walked toward the wall that faced them. “Maybe we should find the entrance, if there are people inside, they could give us directions!” Mario and Morty nodded in agreement, and they started going around the dull, gray, cement wall.

Soon, they found a back door, which unfortunately, was locked. “Hrm... how ‘bout our luck! We’re locked out here!” Morty cried.

“You know, this might just be the back door.” Cherry replied.

“Uh... I knew that!” The mole snapped, and they continued on their way, tripping over branches and vines.

“Hey... do you hear that? It’s... voices!” The crimson explosive cried, and indeed, voices could be heard, chattering and muttering excitedly. The trio pushed their way out of the forestry to see... a large group of people with “I love Airplanes” shirts. They had landed in front of a convention center.

“Hah! Look at them nerds! Airplanes... heh... those are so lame!” Morty snorted, and he soon received angry looks from the people that did hear.

“Morty! How insensitive! These guys have a passion for something, airplanes in this case, just like you have a passion for mining!” Cherry responded angrily.

“Psh-aw! Minin’ and aeroplanes are completely different thangs!” The Monty Mole replied. Cherry just uttered a “hmpf” and walked towards the crowd, with Mario following close behind. Morty sniffed, and walked back into the forest.

“Maybe i’ll just chill back here fer a bit.” He said as he sat down at the back of the building. He soon dozed off.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“LIE~KEH~ OMG! It’s, like, Toadster!” a Toad girl screamed as a dark blue airplane dive out of the sky, and landed on the runway smoothly. The plane door opened up, and stairs came down, and from the plane came a Toad with blond hair sticking out from under his cap. His dark blue jacket fit perfectly.

“Heh. Hello, ladies! I welcome you to the convention! Wanna... get some punch?” He smiled sweetly, and all of his fan-girls screamed loudly as they followed Toadster in to the large building. The truth, though, was that they knew absolutely nothing about planes at all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Yes, Mario, i’m sure Morty’s fine. I saw him go to the back of the building, we’ll get him when we get ready to go... maybe.” Cherry said angrily. “For now, let’s just enjoy the convention while we’re here. I heard that famous stunt flyer, Toadster was here, and he has something ‘special’ on his plane, which might be a Meteor-shard.”

Mario nodded, and they continued looking around at all the exhibits.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morty woke with a start. He thought he heard some bushes rustling. He opened his eye slightly, so he could see but it looked like he was still asleep. A figure, who was to fast to make out, darted into the building. “H... how did he do that!? That door was locked! Maybe... I should get Mario and Cherry!” He thought to himself.

And with that, he scurried off as fast as his little feet would carry him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So, Toadster, how did you start flying?” A small Toad boy asked.

“Well, I saw my father fly one day, doing all these crazy, amazing tricks, and that’s when I knew what I wanted to do!” Toadster replied. “Now, I have a show to perform for you guys!”

He climbed into his plane, and made sure everything was ready and perfect. He sat down and buckled himself in. “Alright... let’s rawk!” He whispered to himself, as his plane took off.

“Woah, Mario, look at that!” Cherry cried, amazed at the tricks Toadster was doing. Mario nodded, while eating popcorn. It tasted much different than any popcorn he had eaten, but he didn’t really mind. Where ever he was probably had different soil than Toad Town. Suddenly, a cry ruptured the air.

“TOADSTER’S PLANE IS CRASHING, LIKE OMG!” A girl cried. Everyone yelled and screamed, running around, trying to escape before the inevitable crash.
Mario and Cherry leaped up, ran around.

“M... Mario, we’ve gotta do something, we can’t let Toadster’s game end!” Cherry squealed. Mario thought for a minute, and got an idea. He ran back into the convention.

“Ack! Wha... what are you doing!?” Cherry cried. Mario didn’t reply, as he searched for whatever he was looking for. Suddenly, he ran past Cherry, holding something in his hand. “Uh... Mario?” Cherry followed suit.

Mario strapped a jetpack to his back, and looked for the button to turn it on. “Oh, smart idea Mario!” Cherry said. “Seriously, though, hurry and get Toadster!” She cheered. Mario pressed the button, and lifted into the air. He had trouble keeping pace with the flying vehicle, but he eventually caught up. He saw the Toad, who was badly beat up. “Hey... you’re Mario right? You savin’ me? Never though... that’d... happen.” Toadster passed out, and he would’ve fallen out if Mario hadn’t caught him.

The two landed down softly, and the plumber set Toadster on the ground. “I... is he okay?” Cherry asked. Mario nodded, and pulled out his last mushroom. They’d have to get more later.

“Uh... agh... what happened? Oh, yes... Mario, you saved my life! I could never repay you!” Toadster said weakly.

“Well... do you know what happened?” Cherry asked, hoping to know.

“I... think someone hit me... my memories a bit fuzzy. The mind does that sometimes... I-” Toadster was cut off by an extremely loud, and annoying, huffing sound. They all turned towards the noise to see Morty.

“I... guh... saw someone... oh... to late, aren’t I?” The mole said with all his strength. “Yuh... you okay?” He pointed to Toadster, who looked at him inquisitively.

“Uh... yeah, who are you?” The Toad asked.

“Muh... Morty Mole, friend of Mario.” He puffed. “Oh, and Cherry. I guess.”

Cherry looked at him angrily, but continued asking questions. “Look, I think we should all just go to an inn tonight. The convention goes on for three days. We’ve still go two more days to figure out what happened. Agreed?” The group nodded at Toadster’s suggestion.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations! Toadster, the hip superstar, has joined your party! With his Launch ability, he’ll use a jetpack to hit enemies in the air, or, he’ll use a remote controlled plane to smash into enemies!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Yes... every thing is going accordingly... so far. Let’s just hope they don’t get the Blue Meteor-shard.” Kamek muttered to himself as he walked down the castle’s halls. His minions saluted him when they past, but he just gave them a glance. They wouldn’t be needed soon. Just simple minded fools to prolong Mario from arriving.

Of course, Mario always arrives in the nick of time. But, Kamek used that as part of his plan. Either way, if Mario indeed made it or not, he would still win.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Well, everyone, day two of the convention is now starting! Just to let you know, the brave Mario has saved Toadster, and they’ll be here today once they check out of their inn room.” An announcer said to the crowd, who gave a large cry of happiness. Then, they dispersed.

Mario and the group pushed the door open, and everyone gasped and rushed to them, asking for autographs and to tell them what had happened. “LISTEN!” Everyone backed away as Cherry stepped in the middle of the crowd. “We just want to relax today, OKAY!? JUST LEAVE US ALONE!” The crowd ran away, frightened by the Bob-omb.

“Wow... talk about anger...” Morty whispered to himself. And the party went to explore the place.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Yessssss.... I’vvvvvvve almossssssst got the... exhibit ready.” A voice hissed in the darkness of the storage room. “I wonder... when will my toyssssss, or, Mario and hisssss friendsssss come?”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hellllllllllo everybody! Welcome to the 100th annual Get-This-Quiz-Right-To-Get-A-Quiz-Right Quiz! Where you get to play to earn a prize... and to win this quiz!” A small, topped-hat worm man said. “Who would like to take my quiz?”

“Hey, why don’t you go, Mario?” Cherry offered. Mario thought for a minute, and nodded. He walked up and stood at a podium.

“Wuh-elcome challenger, and what would your name beeeee?” Chuck Quizmo
asked.

“It’s a-me, Mario!”

“What a nice name, now, let’s begin!”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kamek turned away from his crystal ball, and screamed. “Why do all these attempts fail!?” he sighed, took off his glasses, and cleaned them. “Well, it should be expected... it is Mario.” Suddenly, a voice burst through the air.

“KAMEK! I heard you were planning to end Mario’s game! That’s me and my father’s job, for your information!” It was Bowser Jr.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“H... how did you get them all right!? Oh well, here’s your prize, this fabulous Steel Hammer!” Chuck cried as he handed Mario a dark gray mallet. “Have fun!” And with that, the worm was gone.

“Nice job, Mario! I-” Toadster was cut off by a loud explosion. “Wh... what was that?”

From the smoke, popped a shadowy figure. “Are Mario and his friends here?” His voice echoed through the room. Everyone pointed towards the plumber and his friends.

“Excellent. Now... prepare to lose your game!”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Wait... Mario... don’t you know that guy?” Cherry asked. Mario studied the figure.

It was a Koopa, with two large egg shells covering his top and bottom. He had a spike protruding from the top half. He had dark purple wings on his back. Mario gasped. It was Jr. Troopa.

“That’s right Mario, I am finally going to get my revenge!” He jumped up, and dived bombed Mario, who managed to dodge in the nick of time. Toadster leapt on his back, and punched him, while Cherry bum-rushed him.

“H... hey, stop ganging up on me! It’s not fair!” The Koopa cried, as Morty picked him up and tossed him at Mario, who hit him away with his newly acquired Steel Hammer.

“Grah! I’ll have to use that thing-a-mabob!” Troopa held up a dark blue stone, which seemed to resemble the... it was a Meteor-shard!?

“M... Mario, that’s a-” Morty was cut off by a large rumbling sound, and a piercing white light enveloped the room. When it was gone, no longer stood the Jr. Troopa Mario once knew, but in his place stood... Bowser?

Well, not exactly. His egg shells moved to his back, which had formed into a pearly white shell, topped with a large spike. His wings had grown larger, and his skin became the color of his wings.

“You ready for the new me, Mario? Are you ready for Sr. Troop!?” He laughed, and lunged forward, punching Morty out of the way.

The Monty Mole flew into the wall and passed out. Sr. Troopa then tossed Mario in the air and launched a huge fireball at him. “Oh man, Mario’s gonna get fried!” Toadster said, watching the scene unfold.

“No! Heat Storm!” Cherry yelled out, and started glowing a deep red. She leaped into the air, and exploded before the last hit Mario. They canceled each other out, and Cherry fell to the ground. Mario soon dropped as well.

“Heh. Your friends are pitiful, Mario! Where are the other ones, huh?” Troopa teased, sticking his tongue out. Mario jumped up, and swung his hammer down, hitting the Koopa square on the head. Sr flew back, rubbing his head in pain.

“Argh, now i’ll-” Troopa suddenly slumped to the ground. He reverted back to his Jr. self, and the Meteor-shard flew into the air, and landed in the hands of... a large, black, Dry Bones.

“That’sssss what you get for ssssssstealing my ssssssssstufffffff, you little brat!” It hissed, and looked up to see Mario and Toadster. “Oh... my enemiesssss... how awkward... could we fight tomorrow? I’d like to have a fffffffffun fffffffffight. With your sssssstate, you’d lose. Horribly. SSSSSSSSee ya!” And with that, the creature took off, quickly disappearing from sight.

“Uh... I guess that works... let’s round up everyone and get to an inn, Mario.” Toadster sighed, as he started walking towards Cherry.

“Alright, it’s the last day of the convention, we’ve gotta do this quick!” Cherry said. “Because after that, this place will be closed up, and we won’t be able to get that guy!” Mario nodded in agreement, and they entered the building.

“ALL RIGHT! EVERYBODY CLEAR OUT!” Cherry yelled, causing everyone to jump up and flee. “Good... now we’ll have more room to fight in. Now come on guys, let’s split up and find that guy.”

“Oh, no need to... I heard you guysssssssss coming from milessssssss away.” The party turned around to see the dark Dry Bones.

His crimson eyes sifted back and forth between the group. His blood colored shell glinted in the light. “Are we ready to begin?” Everyone nodded. “Good. We’ll have more fffffffffffun.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cherry immediately jumped into action, exploding right in the face of their enemy. He jumped back, rubbing his face, and tossed a bone, which acted like a boomerang, hitting Mario and his friends twice.

“Ugh... Mario, there is somethin’ wrong with that there bone, I feel a lot weaker than I should!” Morty sighed. Mario nodded, and jumped up, twirling around, and smashing his hammer on the monster’s head. He skidded back, and tossed another bone.

“Mario, he did do something! He put poison on it, I saw him, right before he threw it... we’re slowly being drained!” Cherry said weakly.

“Hmm... very craffffffffty, young Bob-omb. Your right. Every time you move, or get hit, the poisssssssson does more and more. The mossssssst fffffffffun thing about it? There isssssssss no know cure.” He laughed. “Well... I know one of coursssssssse. If you can defeat me, the poisssssssson will leave your body. But, the question isssssss... can you defeat me before the poissssssson over takessssssss you?”

“Ok guys, we have to do this quickly! But how... wait! I remember, the fastest way to take out a Dry Bones... is fire!” Cherry though. “Psst. Mario, c’mere!” Mario looked over at her, and walked over.

“You have to use Heat Storm! Fire easily beats Dry Bones!” the Bob-omb whispered. Mario nodded, and jumped forward.

“Hmm? You have a plan? Oh, how nice. Show it to me!” The skeleton replied sarcastically. Mario pulled his hat down, and pulled out the Meteor-shard.

“Wh... what isssss that! Isssss that the... oh no.” The creature hid in his shell. Mario started glowing a deep red color, and jumped forward. He put his hands out, and a large blast of fire erupted from them. The shell flew into the air, and disintegrated.

Mist suddenly arose from the four heroes, evaporated.

“Phew! At least that’s over. I’m ready for a rest!” Morty yawned. Toadster started walking towards the door.

“Agreed. Would any one mind if we rested in this town one more day?” The toad asked. Everyone followed him, yawning, and tired. Suddenly, Mario jumped up, and ran back to where the Dry Bones had been, and picked a stone similar to their Meteor-shard. It was a dark sapphire color, and had small blue stones encrusted all over.

“Coming, Mario?” Cherry asked, when she noticed Mario had gone back for something. The plumber nodded, and followed his friends to the inn. They would definitely need some sleep.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The train rolled to a stop, and Cherry leaped off her bed. “What a horrible nights sleep! I’m never using this train brand again!” She remarked angriliy as she went down the steps.

“Simple Town... i’ve never heard of this place. Must not be well known.” Cherry noticed a nearby inn, and started heading towards it.

“I’ll get some lunch.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cherry awoke, and leaped off the inn bed. “Mario! Psst, Mario!” She shook the man awake, and he turned aroun to face her.

“Mario, the next Meteor-shard... it’s in a place nearby called Simple Town!”
