Parodies Of Pokemon In Other TV Shows

I've seen alot of parodies of the Pokemon Anime in other TV shows recently and wanted to make a list so I know what NOT to watch(die hard Pokemon fan here) and because its driving me crazy.

First off, I know for sure that there is a parody of Pokemon in Johnny Test. They call it Tinymon in the episode and the main character is Blast Ketchup(NOT.EVEN.FUNNY.CHECK.USERNAME.) They had evolution, battle, Tinycubes instead of Pokeballs, and even medallions instead of badges.

Then I'm not entirely sure, but I think that there's a South Park parody of Pokemon that I read about on Wikipedia called Chinpokomon(physically impossible not to make the connection) and I saw a picture on there that seemed like a parody of Ash and someone from Team Rocket.
(Ash was blonde o.0)

And what REALLY got me pissed was a parody I saw on one of those little kid shows. Can't remember the name but I saw it when someone came over to give my brother a haircut and I had to babysit a two-year-old. I was channel surfing and I saw something on a show about this kid watching a commercial for Mini Monsters and the motto was Gotta Collect Them All so I easily made the connection.......but I cant remember the show.

I remember something involving a Pikachu parody on this one show but I don't know what show again(Wikipedia) with something called Ling-Ling that looked like a Spore-created Pikachu with reference to the Seizure Incident of '97.

Last but not least is the parody(another Wikipedia)from the Simpsons. Not a DIRECT parody, but still cutting it close with more reference to the Seizure Incident of '97. Just with robots.

Anyone know any other ones?

It's not really a parody, but the show Heroes had a thing with Hiro being called "Pikachu" a few times.

That person was a parady of James.

The show is Drawn together, in which there was also a chara that is a parody of Ash.

There's been several.

Especially in the Gen 1 days. Like in the show,Norm, and Simpsons. Also there's one character in Drawn Together that's a parody of Pikachu and he gives children seizures. This isn't really a parody, but recently there was a reference by John Stewart on the Daily Show. I forgot Robot Chicken of all shows. WOW.

Uh there was the parody of Pokemon Voice Acting on Robot Chicken on the bloopers part of the show and there was a parody called Life In A Pokeball on it too.

The awesome anime Lucky Star had REFERENCES to Pokemon three times, but no parodies.
(First, Konata said her special talent was that she could name every single Pokemon.)
(Then, she was wondering something about Japanese temple names in relation to the names of the Pokemon games.)
(Finally, Kagami said Gotta Catch Em All while playing a game at a festival.)

I'm out of them, I think.

Why was Hiro called Pikachu, exactly?(Did it involve electricity?)

Homestar Runner has an actual Pikachu fly about in The Cheat Theme Song. The Cheat also bears somewhat of a resemblance to Pikachu as well.

I THINK there MIGHT have been a parody in Spongebob with the trading cards. I mean, come on, Holographic, silver, talking, animated trading cards. Sounds Pokemon Card-related. Kinda.

(All I know for sure is there was a Naruto parody in Fairly Oddparents, but that doesn't matter right now. Nickelodeon hasn't really had many TV show parodies with the exception of the Fairly OddParents special Channel Chasers with all the TV show parodies.)

I didn't hear the reference.

I just remembered a big Pokemon parody that was on Comedy Central, but I forgot the name.

Has anyone else seen that stupid Johnny Test parody?
 
Honestly I think you need to lighten up. Just because a show pokes fun at something you like doesn't mean it's saying you're wrong for liking it. Often, parodies are affectionate. Personally, I like it when shows parody Pokémon.

I have a couple of times. Didn't find it particulary funny, just like the show in it's entirety, but I did crack a smile at 'Badias'.

I was watching the late night Cartoon Cartoon run the other night. I had to sit through Kids Next Door while waiting for the other shows, but I looked up long enough to see a kid dressed suspiciously like Ash from the original series. I think it was an origin story of the adults episode or something.

Oh, and in Foster's Home, near the end of the episode 'Eddie Monster', Ed has to save the gang from an electrified, Pikachu-esque critter.
 
oh yeah ive seen that episode of fosters. never thought of that before, though. I mean, i knew it was yellow and small and electric but it never occured to me........

Uh with the kids next door thing was the guy dressed up like ash or did he just look like him?

I don't think The Cheat is actually based on Pikachu, though. The ideas for the Homestar Runner universe were conceived before Pokémon became popular internationally (it started out as a children's book for some college project or something, IIRC), so The Cheat doesn't count as a Pikachu parody.
 
Nobody has seen one of the most popular parodies on the internet?

The one they did on the show Norm that one was hilirous

i dont really know too many parodies. I know Lucky Star had references to Pokemon but thats different.
 
I think there was a few second Pokemon type thing on the Channel Chasers episode in "Fairly Odd Parents".

In South park there was "Chinpokomon" where it became a craze and the Japanese were using it to take over America. It was episode 10 of Series 3. "Chin" is Japanese "Chin Chin" for Penis and "pokomon" is "Pokemon" there was a funny looking Pikachu parody on that episode too. They also had Cinpokomon the game, but you had to collect them all and blow up Perl Harbour or something with them in the game.

So basically Chin Chin = Penis and Pokomon = Pokemon which is short for "Pocket Monsters" 0_o

There was a Fairly Oddparents parody of Pokemon I think:

Would it be the one in which the Yugo-potamians get their planet taken over by the little critters that are found inside cereal boxes and later the critters' conquest was thwarted when the Yugo-potamians found out the critters tasted like manure and so the critters were eaten and defeated?

It was used as an insult, I believe, but it's almost apt - after all, he's small, cute, and more powerful than he looks. ;-)

I don't think that parody is directed at Pokémon.
