Google 2001 Engine that is.
As per celebration of Google's 10 year anniversary, they've dragged out search logs from early 2001, a time before the world erupted at the slightest hint of the word terror or sour markets.
There's some pretty neat stuff to dig up there.
Common apps like facebook, youtube, or itunes have little or no relevance as we know them today.
Common annoyances like 4chan, spam and copypastas are gone, or at least not as prevalent in searches.
Seriously, as long as the site works, the possibilities for comparison studies and other old facts are endless. There's even the occasional trinket, I mean I've already come across an old banner for the site by ways of Pokemon Abode.
Not every site is accessible, but wayback machine links are provided (not all those work either). Still, it's a great way to look at the past.
