Passwords for eggs..?

So, for those who didn't already know, at filb.de you could enter your trainer ID number (5 digits, on all your caught pokemon) and it would tell you phrases to talk to the people in the Jubilife TV Station inorder to unlock new Box Wallpapers for the PC

Now, i wanted to see what the HG/SS wallpapers would be if they even existed, so i went to HeartGold/Soulsilver United States and threw in a random ID number (like 12345) and said they weren't available (makes sense...) but at the bottom... it says Pokemon Eggs!

So i investigated a little further, went to Heartgold/Soulsilver Japan and inserted the ID 12345 (just so we're all on the same page, test it with that ID) and it showed all the japan wallpapers and eggs as i expected...

But does this mean you can get special pokemon from eggs using passwords? Ive tried a few passwords and they all appear to be the same rewards (just different phrases i guess, cant read japanese)

Wow, this is nice! Just did it with my JP SS's ID and it worked for everything. Though, to get the eggs you have to have a slot free. He said something about an egg but didn't give it to me because I have a full party. :p
 
do you know if the eggs are special for any reason?
i knew you could get wallpapers, cause ive got them all for my diamond and had them on my platinum before it broke... but these eggs are new to HG/SS.

im curious to know if they've got any special egg moves or unlearnable moves or anything. :)
 
I can check later, but my dad's just coming to pick me up to go home for spring break so I have to get my things fully together. If no one else has gone and received the eggs and said anything by the time I get back home I'll go ahead and find out for you. ^_^

It sounds like it's a Gen IV reincarnation of the Dizzy Punch egg from Crystal. Cool. Someone let us know whether this is the case or not.
 
I picked up an Egg on my Japanese HeartGold. It's a Mareep... in the process of attempting to hatch...

Any unusual moves? I'm going to assume not because you'd probably have said that. I'm guessing that it's just a way for people to find certain Pokemon easier or maybe they have a higher chance of being shiny, unlikely though.
 
I also thought that Ryuutakesh, so i thought I would bring it to the bulbagarden public. I was gunna ask on the wiki, but it said to bring it to the forums, so i did :p

i saw a link to filb.de on one of the Anime episode pages and remembered about the wallpapers and wanted to check if any new ones were discovered.
and now we're here :p

Sketch: Let us know the stats and what not, that way if others get theirs we can see if they are all the same or what is similar about them. :)

Edit: hm, thats strange. do the stats appear abnormal compared to a regular mareep?

I would guess that it's for people to get Pokemon that could help them earlier.

Nya, did you have different Pokemon? I have Mareep, Wooper, and Slugma.

This Mareep is naive... I can't see the IVs, but the stats are 12/5/6/6/5/5.
 
Well, two of those being so easy to get off the bat... seems kinda odd to have such a special event.

i guess that's possible, although woopers are found just under violet city... they do oppose the types of the starters (Chikorita<Slugma, Totodile<Mareep, Cyndaquil<wooper)

perhaps thats it?

its possible that they were just random.

also, if its for convenience early in the game... the release for the first egg in North America is March 26th. Thats kind of counter productive since the game comes out on the 14th.

for japan, atleast, ive only been able to produce random trainer ID's that result in those eggs.

Maybe based on SID's or something but that's probably too over-complicated for these basic Pokemon.
 
going back to getting the wallpapers in Diamond/Pearl, they all appear to be the same but what changes is the password required to use them according to your Trainer IDnumber. I would assume all the pokemon will be the same for everyone, just the phrase you use to get them.

once Nya gets back, we can see her stats and compare them (or anyone who stumbles upon this)
