Past Pokemon in Generation V

There are specific Pokemon out of the current 493 that will be given pre-evolutions and evolutions, and Pokemon that will be brought into the Gen V Regional Dex. It's obviously going to happen. It's happened in every generation.

There are some pokemon that NEED to evolve as well as Pokemon that SHOULDN'T be in the Regional Dex. That said, I'll say my opinions.

Pokemon that need to evolve are ones like Skarmory, Mawile, Dunsparce, and Quilfish. They aren't that powerful, excluding Skarmory who's ok but I've seen it everywhere that people want him to evolve, so why not have those four listed above to evolve? Nintendo kind of overdid it with Generation IV by adding 10+ previous pokemon (pre)evolutions. I hope there's only around 7. I mean they DID say the game will be different from the past 16.

Since Generation One the evolution families consisting of Geodude, Abra, Zubat, Machop, Psyduck, Goldeen, Tentacool, and Magikarp have been present in each pokedex. Some have to go because they are the major annoyances. Zubat, Tentacool, Geodude, and Margikarp NEED TO GO because they are under that title. (I know that Gyrados is a good Pokemon but facing Magikarps like 500 times during the storyline isn't helpful to my team for giving me less than 100 EXP. Battling them is a waste of my time and I know a lot of people would agree with me.) Whenever you run out of repels in a cave/ocean that's all that appears.(Excluding Magikarp) I would appreciate it so much if they could add new pokemon to fill their slots or just remove that wild factor out completely and not have very common specific pokemon in the wild to waste your time when you run out/don't have repels.

I know all the pokemon that but it's time to retire those strings. We've seen them four times already and I think we can all agree that each one needs to be absent from Generation V's Regional Dex. (Obviously excluding Pikachu) I mean they DID say the game will be different from the past 16.

Any talk about pokemon being in Gen V because of getting an evolution should probably be mentioned here.

No Pokemon "needs" to evolve. Believe it or not, not everyone cares about a Pokemon's "base stats", move set, or IV/EVs. Some just like playing the game.
 
I know. Nintendo overdid that element with all the evolutions in the Sinnoh Dex. That's why I hope to have at least around 5-7ish.

This. Zubat, Tentacool, Geodude, and Magikarp need replacing in the wild this generation.
 
I forgot Geodude in that section. They're annoying too because they're also mountain-type pokemon.
 
Eh, it's just my opinion. That's what this topic was meant to be full of.
 
I'm fine with Magikarp. Those can be avoided. And frankly... eh, I don't care all that much. I suppose lowering the encounter rate would be better.
 
Hmm... i think dunsparce... ya know, will become an Epic pokemon. and if not ill countinue making him an HM slave
 
A Pokemon game just isn't a Pokemon game without my precious Geodude, Zubat, Magikarp, Goldeen, and blah blah blah. All those dinky Pokemon.

If they take those out, then they spend much of the Pokemon, let's say, 'Poke Budget' filling in those gaps. If you like that, then it probably isn't so bad. But if throwing in Geodude and Zubat as the cave Pokemon, and Wingull and Tentacool as the ocean Pokemon, and Goldeen and Magikarp as the water Pokemon means more time and effort in making cooler Pokemon in the long run, I'm fine with it.
 
Magikarp should stay and ABSOL NEEDS AN EVO

I'll be able to use the absol evo for my OU team, not my UU
 
The only reason i said that is...well my reason above and the Fisherman that ALWAYS has a team of 6 Magikarps.
 
Well it is opinion after all.
 
Zubat is a good Pokemon to use because it evolves into crobat. Then again all pokemon get stronger when they evolve. The fact that I want it removed is because when I run out repels in a cave it starts a vicious circle.
