pastal Dragonair

Okay, the Dragonair is a bit... odd. The body is of peculair widths along the body (looking at the last two spheres on the tail, and right around that are it is really noticeable.) Dragonair has 4 feathers, not 5 by the way. The coloring is okay but pastels are usually a lot smoother than that, especially chalk.

You have to remember i'm too stupid to get anything right and i kinda copied from nothing to go on. Chalk pastel does not, i reapeat does not come out smooth due to the fact it smudges everywhere and gets more on you than the paper I used usual printer A4 so i couldn't get the best effect possible but i don't care. I draw because i can Weather it is right or not i couldn't care because even after a stupid number of tries i could never get anything even close to right I'm not good enough nor will i ever be

Nice, I like it. My one minor issue with it is that the head does not flow smoothly from the neck, it's bent at an angle that would be impossible for a dragonair. That's a bit of a nitpick though, overall I really like the pic.

Don't know why but i always do heads like that
*Points to her previous reply*

I'm sorry TDP, I didn't intend to hurt your feelings. Pastels are a hard medium, the fact that you used them is great and I know they are terrible for detail. Pastel will erase with erasers, it smudges nicely with smudgers, the colors as you know can blend well if tried, and you can always use hairspray to prevent further smudging. But at least you tried with a diffcult medium and made a respectable product.

I only got these pastels on saturday, at school i only use Aqua ones and they are very different >> Also i blame the scanner since that loves mucking stuff up x.x I'm semi doodling a pencil Dragon I know damn well i can't draw dragons (Why can i draw Eagle Beasts though? It's insane!) Scales are driving me nuts and the pose is anything but orignal but that's me for ya. Useless Heh i know i don't think much of myself, never have done. For one i can't draw with the suject looking to the right or from the front One of those things you should ask
*Adds that to the list of uselessness n.n*

Dragon are easy to scale. You draw a bunch of connecting u's in various sizes. Practice of anything new will sooner lead to perfection.

With the exception of me as it never does I've done the head, neck and front legs but i've stoped I think the scales have done my hand in I doubt i'll do the wings if i can avoid it because without being about to look at the joints on something like a bird, i muss it up big time I caan kinda do limbs but nothing spectacluar and i hate backgrounds Heh nothing ever changes with me drawing wise

Part of changing one's drawing habits is by first of all changing an attitude. Drawing backgrounds is hard but if you force yourself to try, force yourself to like them, sooner or later you'll love drawing backgrounds. Same goes for many things (like math *Shudders*). Another one is by loving yourself and what you can draw but being able to admit that improvement is needed. I despise people who waltz in with junk, never admit mistakes, and evidently never improve because they think they're all that. But I also never liked people who come in with art, and hate themselves for it. The best thing you can have is confidence, and gal, I think you need to boost it up a lil' smidgen. *winks*

I'm always yelled at by peeps who hate my stuff If it';s at school and can tell them to go hell XD I know damn well i'm nowhere near as good as a lotta people and most of my stuff is random (Gonna post half the dragon erm i refuse to draw more o.o) I do realism if i can be bothered or simplier stuff Depends what i can be bothered to do but ihave many peoples who hate my stuff Too many >>

I find that really hard to believe. I have people who hate Pokemon, who bash anime, who would rather kill me and I can have them staring at my sketchbook for at least a good 5 minutes. I doubt your art really gets that sort of negative attention. Especially a lot of it.

You may think that but it does Wait till they see that half dragon and hawk me though Heh may be finished eventully but when i have no model and doing realism it always turns out better than with one o.o
People run off with my art folder if that is anything >> So i catch up, whack them with it then set the super cute Growly on them o.o

I have people who try to steal my art supplies and such. Sometimes theft of art is almost flattery. Why would any sane person steal junk? Honestly your stuff must be good if they want your book. But is bashing them over the head necessary? It makes you seem a little hostile, and maybe that is the whole problem.

No not really If you're anything like me that's about usual They snaffle it mainly to piss me off or take various stuff outta it such as the cute growly or that really neat Arcy i did a few weeks ago Stupid peoples >>
