Paul, Dawn, and Other Dub Info.

Hikari is Dawn.
Shinji is Paul.

And that dude with the Budew in DP 4 is Nando.

First Episodes Revealed Too...

This is all fine and dandy, but what I care about most is when these episodes air.

I can not start thinking of my dad when Shinji enters the scene, I simply can NOT ;-;

Dawn is... *kinda* disappointing.
 
Dawn I can deal with. Not only does it fit her, but it's also the closest we could get to a translation. ^^;

Paul though...I dunno. I just seems so plain. Not to mention Paul is usually associated as such, well...a holy name. Seems kinda odd to give it to someone like Shinji (unless that's the joke behind it).

OK, it's close to the translation which is light. But Dawn simply doesn't suit her IMHO. Don't think i'm one of your typical moaners, I think it's just a shock.

(Will probs get used to it by next week after watching the first ep in japanese again and think of her bein named Dawn)

Paul just sucks and am not gonna bother or this post could last for ages.

Ah, his original name meant Trust apparently...which was pretty ironic as well.

How the heck is Dawn less creative then May, Misty, Max, or the other main characters!

Should she of been Gourdo, or maybe perhaps Snopple?

EDIT: Wonder what Nozomi will be? What about Midna? :p

Paul is just funny. I like the name Dawn, but it was not the name I would expect for her personality. o.o;

Paul obviously is a nod to Paul McCartney, who Shinji even looks like.

In fact, I've heard he's signed a contract to play Paul.
 
Dawn is great, but I'm sure lots of idiots are shrieking about it not starting with "m". -_-;;




Paul? What the heck? I keep on thinking of the nerd from the Wonder Years. That name really doesn't fit him at all . . .

Point taken. I guess it was a good choice. (Sense kicking in... Thoughts of liking the name will surface by tomorrow morning.)
