Welcome to the Againstshipping thread, where we can discuss about anything related to a possible Paul & Zoey romantic relationship.

I'd have opened this thread earlier since I've got a liking for this shipping for a long time ago, but since it was a nevermet shipping, and things like Ikarishipping, Comashipping and Appealshipping seemed much more popular, I thought it wouldn't be a too active place. But now, due to recent events in the series, I thought it would be a nice idea.

Is anyone else excited about Zoey going berserk towards Paul in the next episode?? I'm really looking forward the reason for her to get so upset, to know if they did knew eachother before and what their relationship will turn like. I hope the writers develop it and that we get more than one episode with both Zoey and Paul in it.

Well, I think they really fit eachother. There are so many reasons why I like this pairing... She's so fiery and he's so cold; both seem to have inner issues over something in the past and seem to have difficult to express their feelings; both are main rivals for the main hero and heroine in this show (ok, this last one is not a good reason, but you got the idea :D). I hope they get to be good friends in some way :)

And what about you guys? Anyone else into Againstshipping?

Sounds possible.. It's better than ships like I don't know Comashipping.. Appealshipping.
 
Too bad it seems that Zoey is not going to stay for the next episode, since she left with Candice in the end of the epi aired this week... but her interaction with Paul was priceless after all! :D

Well, as a topic, I would like to discuss about the lack of popularity for this shipping - and any other het shipping involving Zoey whatsoever. My guess is that people simply assume she is a lesbian and refuse to pair her with any character of the opposite sex. Zoey/Dawn, Zoey/Dawn/May and, more recently,

Zoey/Candice

is all people talk about.

I think that when firstly introduced, Zoey actually seemed pretty gay to be honest, but as the series developed, I began to think that she is just a tomboy/stylish, serious kind of girl, and that is not related to sexual orientation at all. Well, you know, if she was a happy-go-lucky-princess type like Dawn, the shipping for Zoey and Paul, the main DP rivals, would be much more fancied by the pokemon fandom - and any other straight shippings for Zoey, I must say again.

I would like to hear from you people other reasons why you think againstshipping is not that popular, aside the fact

that they just met last episode :p
 
i like this shipping a lot ive liked ever since i first herd of it.
