I've been looking everywhere for information on Battle Revolution online. If there is a giant link to a page about it...then I missed it, and I'm sorry. I'm planning on getting a Wii sooner or later this year, and had questions about Battle Revolution's online play.

See, I got out of Pokemon back when I finished Silver, until Diamond and Pearl snagged me with online battling and trading. I'm used to the subscription-based XBOX Live service, which I must admit I highly prefer over Nintendo's offering. Still, it works, usually.

In PBR, will there be voice chat? Through a mic? Through the DS? I've noticed that the DS voice chat....sorta sucks. It's really too bad, because that's half the reason I went for D/P online. I know that Nintendo's entire online strategy is built around keeping children safe, which really ends up making the whole system feel clunky and cumbersome. But voice chat between people that exchanged friend codes seems reasonable, especially when it is allowed in D/P.

What kinds of options are there for online battle in PBR? Are they more robust than those for D/P? I mean, other than the innate benefits of being able to choose your 3D arena. Are they less robust? I wouldn't like to move up to PBR for 3D and drop a few battle modes in exchange. I like to use the battle mode that has you choose one of your opponent's Pokemon and then they do the same, and they get that to battle with. It forces balance.

Is the Wii somehow better able to connect to the WiFi network? I've noticed plenty of connection errors and an overall low connection in the room with our larger television.

How are friend codes entered? Do friend codes on the DS carry on over to the Wii, or will I have to enter a set of codes for all my friends? And how many people can the "Pal Pad" of PBR hold?

I'm sorry to be annoying. I just am very used to knowing the online functionality of my games, the XBOX sort of has a unified standard for these things. I don't like purchasing a game based on online performance without knowing....how it performs? Yeah.
