PC Box Organization

How do you organize your PC boxes?

I thought I had a nice little system, but now it's a mess.

Box 1-13 = Randomly caught pokemon
Box 14 = Shinies
Box 15 = Eevee
Box 16 = Breeding stock
Box 17 = Trade (but ended up filling up with Chimchar)
Box 18 = No Trade (my team, HM slaves, legendaries, etc)

Anyway, aside from searching for tips, I'm curious how others organize their pokemon. Please share!

I decided to "organize" my boxes kind of late in the game, so my boxes are kind of odd..

Box number: Name: Description
Box 1: USEFULS: Pretty much any good pokemon that I use in game.
Box 3: STARTERS: Where I keep my starters, and the pseudolegendary dragon of every gen.
Box 7: LEGENDS: Where I keep my legendary pokemon.
Box 10-11: SHINIES: Recently allocated these boxes since I started chaining. Where I keep my shiny pokemon.
Box 12: EGGS: Where I kept a bunch of random eggs before I decided to hatch them all. This box is now full of random pokemon.
Box 13: TRAINEE: Pokemon that I plan on turning into usefuls.

The remaining boxes are all random pokemon.

I think I keep mine pretty neat.

Box 1 is for Pokemon I've trained, shinys, and useful ones that I use for HMs.
Boxes 2 - 12 are ordered by type, then by number, final evolutions only.
Box 13 is legendaries
Box 14 is Unknown
Box 15 is random pokemon I've gotten from trades.
Boxes 16, 17, and 18 are random pokemon.

I propably should organize my boxes, so it'd be easier to find the Pokémon I'm looking for. As of yet, I haven't ever organized my boxes in any manner.

With mine...

Boxes 01-11 are my National Dex Boxes, with each Pokemon family occupying just one slot (i.e. the Bulbasaur-Ivysaur-Venusaur family would all just be in one slot). If in case a Pokemon gained either a pre-evolution or an evolution in a later generation, then I leave an extra slot for that too (i.e. my Electivire occupies a slot, but I also have empty slots for Elekid and Electabuzz).

Box 12 is my Unown Box, housing all the Unown forms, in alphabetical order followed by the "?" and "!" forms.

Box 13 is my Multitype Box. This is where I keep Pokemon that would normally occupy only one slot in the National Dex Boxes, but can't due to their multiple forms. I keep my different Wormadam and Rotom forms here.

Box 14 is now my Elite Box. This is where I keep the Pokemon who have already proven themselves at the Elite Four and had their name included in the Hall of Fame.

Box 15 is my Legendary Box. This pretty much explains itself. All legendaries here are arranged according to National Dex order too.

Box 16 is my Breed Box. I queue all Pokemon in need of breeding, or eggs in need of hatching, here temporarily. I also keep my Magmortar (for his Flame Body ability, for hatching eggs) and my Ditto (for breeding) here. This is also arranged according to the ND order, except for Magmortar and Ditto, who occupy the bottom-right corner of the box.

Box 17 is my Trade Box. I put Pokemon on standby for trading here. I arrange this box according to Pokemon level/stats, instead of the usual ND order. That way I can tell how strong the Pokemon I'm trading is easily.

Finally, Box 18 is my Miscellaneous Box. This is where I keep Bebe's PC at by default. I just use this box as a drop-off for newly-caught Pokemon before I decide what to do with them, or for my team Pokemon when I have to temporarily carry somebody else in my party (like an HM user). There are also some other times I keep Pokemon here, like with my shiny Cubone (since my Marowak already occupies its evolution family's slot).

Mine aren't organized at all. When I catch Pokemon, they go into the box and that's that.

I can never remember what the boxes were originally called (since I rename them), but I organize my boxes on Platinum all OCD-like. Diamond there's absolutely nothing to organize, and Pearl's just "if I don't use it, fling it on Ranch".

Everything's nice and clean on Platinum, though..

Mine's not too organised, but it's better than it was. Box 11 is unlabeled but it's where my main team and team supports hang out, Boxes 12-14 are TRADE (see sig for details!), Box 15 is BREED, Box 16 is EVOLVE, Box 17 is LEGENDS, and Box 18 is for the foreign Pokemon I get on the GTS and the Pokerus infected. And within the unlabeled boxes I have a tiny bit of organisation (the Eeveelutions are together, Nidoking and Nidoqueen are together, Gardevoir and Gallade are together...)

I go by type per box, and one or two 'Feeboxes' for my horrible Dry-based breeding obsession.

I organize my boxes in reverse numerical order, starting with box 18. They are as such (in no real order since I can't remember the order):
Legends (self explanatory)
PalPark (each PalPark game takes its own row)
Unown (in alphabetical order)
Breeding (Dittos, Pokemon with Flame Body, certain egg move fathers, etc...)
Special (For Shinies, EV trained pokemon, and my teams since I often train several teams of pokemon)
Trade (Usually holds extra eggs of semi-rare pokemon I bred but didn't want, like right now it holds a couple dozen male Eevees I bred looking for a female)
Starters (self explanatory)

I often need multiple Legend or PalPark boxes and often label new boxes as needed, so box 1 up to the last unlabeled box just hold whatever other pokemon I catch in random order.

I use one box for Unown, one for Legendaries and the rest are divided up by types. Some get combined like Dragon and Dark because they have few members. Water-types usually overflow into the next box.

My boxes in the first two generations were complete disasters. XD

For generation 3, I organized by type. With an Unown-specific box in FR, I think.

In Diamond, I orgzniaed by type, plus an Unown box, plus a misc. box. Now that I have Ranch, they're almost all there instead of the boxes. In Platinum I've just been stocking them in the order they've been caught and will ship them off to Ranch sooner or later.

Box 11-13 = Current Team, previous game teams and HM Slaves
Box 14&15 = Breeding Pokemon
Box 16 = Legendaries I have "spares" off and all 12 starters
Box 17 = Legendaries
Box 18 = Unown Box with all 28 in

Nice and organised. I may change in the future, but for now that is how I like it.

Box 17, 18 and 1 = Squadboxes. Where my main battling pokemon are kept

Box 2 Legendary Capture Team. Consists of:
1 Smeargle holding Focus Sash with moveset Trick, Spore, Mind Reader, Sheer Cold.

20 Syncronising Ralts comprising of all useful natures.

Box 3-16 Random crap i've caught.

I used to organize the boxes by type, but after I got the National Dex I decided to change it to an easier numerical order. The first box is #01-#30, the second one is #31-#60 and so on. I just love seeing them get filled little by little.

Also, since there's one extra box, I named it "HOLD" and I keep all my most needed Pokemon there, like HM slaves and my main battling team.
