Remember when PETA made that parody game, Pokémon: Black and Blue, to coincide with the release of Black 2 and White 2 in 2012? Well, apparently the game did so well, they made another game, Pokémon: Red, White, and Blue, which coincides with the release of X and Y:

If you ask me, Nintendo should really do something about this. It's doing nothing but attack the franchise and scaring away possible fans.

And here's the link to the first parody game, which is surprisingly still online:

Don't think there's much they can do, pretty sure parodies are protected by copywrite laws.

It's a shame, an organisation that are so up themselves as PETA are could do with being brought down a peg. The question on my part would be can this garbage really be seen as a parody? That bit about Nintendo "having the audacity to release two versions of the same game" and using their trademarked characters to peddle violence seems pretty slanderous to me!

Plus it's funny how they're attacking their partnership with McDonalds when there wasn't even any Pokémon toys this year unlike 2011 and 2012.

I look at this, and all I can think is "there really needs to be a demented fast food mascot trainer class." Chuckie "Crowbar" Hamburgler! Ronald McRabies! Think of the possibilities!

Seriously though, considering that they're still stuck on Unova means they really haven't got the meaning behind Team Plasma yet. I'm also starting to think that the people who made the flash games are indeed fans of the series and were only doing it to fill a commission. Either way Nintendo really shouldn't let this slide. Though it's part parody, it's still a somewhat slanderous one. There has to be some kind of loophole somewhere.

I'm surprised that they bothered making another one. At least the last one had pretty good music considering the content of the "game".

@Chika; They can only do so many Mario parodies before they run out of "Fur is murder" content? Two pokemon games, two years, WE MUST PROTECT THE POKEMON LIKE OUR PLASMA BRETHREN! WE MUST GET THE WORD OUT THAT POKEMON BATTLES ARE MURDER EVEN IF WE'RE 15 YEARS TOO LATE!

Speaking of the Mario parodies, I really have to laugh at them due to the story behind the original Donkey Kong game. Yet they focus on the Tanooki suit...something made AFTER Mario had a personality change and something not actually made out of Raccoon Dogs.

I am really dissapointed. I was hoping Clemont or another revealed character would have been the first battle like how Cheren was. but this will just be a bug hitting the windshield. Pokemon has been known for the past 15 years as being a family friendly RPG game and has stayed that course ever since. the only real people who would avoid the franchice because of petas claim as Cruelty to animals would need a negative IQ or the ones that also wouldnt buy it are if they take their pastor's word a bit too seriously. that amount is likely to effect .000000001% of game sales and plus since PETA always has the world laughing at them, it would possibly genereate a bigger buzz for the upcoming games and encourage more people to buy the new games

Thing is, PETA have long ceased to be an organisation that carries much influence beyond those who support it already. Their relentless campaigning at the expense of actually protecting animals has turned them into a joke. In other words, if you're swayed by this you'll agree anyway, regardless of the rhetoric PETA employs

Disgusting. We need to stop PETA (or PUTA, as I would call them - People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals. C'mon, you should see what they really do to animals.)

When will they ever learn, PeTA got hated on the last time they did this, and history is repeating itself. I mean seriously, you're complaining about there being two different versions? That's not nitpicking, that's just being ridiculous, and you drag McDonalds into this mess too, I mean really now...

In the first one they said that Pikachu was cooped up in a Pokeball. Even though its Ash's Pikachu and his Pikachu was never in it's Pokeball

Guys, it may be a good idea to note that you should NOT go and play the game on PETA's website, you're generating revenue for them when you do that. Just ignore it and tell others to avoid it or wait till it shows up somewhere that isn't PETA if you want to see it so badly.

I won woo.

Why did that guy randomly have a Jigglypuff if it was the real world?

PeTA believes that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Besides, that all distracts people from what PeTA really does and that's kill animals.

From Ingrid Newkirk herself, when she worked in an animal shelter in the 1970s:
"I would go to work early, before anyone got there, and I would just kill the animals myself. Because I couldn't stand to let them go through (other workers abusing the animals.) I must have killed a thousand of them, sometimes dozens every day."

So please, don't play this game. You are handing over money to people who willfully kill innocent animals. I do not kid.

You do realize that Pokémon's not alone, right? All PETA does nowadays is bash the crap out of every video game series, most notably Mario and Cooking Mama. Seriously, I hope PETA gets hit by a blizzard of copyright infringement prosecutions because they deserve it. Calling PETA an animal rights organization would be like calling the confederacy an anti-racism organization.

I'm glad Nintendo is letting it slide. I'd think it was tacky of them to step down and I doubt that many people are going to be so put off that they won't buy the game, if they are they probably weren't going to buy the game anyway.

Don't get me wrong. I care about animals, I don't even eat them, I buy things that are as cruelty-free as I can. I think that this is misguided though, I've been into Pokémon since the beginning and I've never felt the need to hurt any animals or make them fight. Animals aren't pokémon, pokémon are cartoon creatures with cool powers. It's completely different.

I really hate PETA, I feel like they're usually tasteless and generally fundamentalistic, so people end up associating people who care about animals in general to them and their antics. People should stop paying attention. Not to mention the exposés on PETA's shelters.
