I'm a relative newcomer to the Phoenix Wright series, kind of late I know, but I really enjoyed the first two games.

The last case of JfA was easily one of the best yet. Up till that point, Phoenix had always believed in his clients and used that belief to drive him to help them in court, and it always turned out that they were indeed innocent. But before I started that last case, I was wondering what would happen if Phoenix's client was actually guilty,
and that's just what happened there. And the whole thing with the kidnapping threw in some great drama. Do you help a clearly guilty man go free and thereby save your assistant/best friend, or do you stand by justice at the likely cost of her life?
That was a great case for character development.

Here's an excellent Phoenix Wright fansite, if anyone's interested. They have sprite rips, fanart, fanfics, forums, and more.

I love the humor in the games too.

Edgeworth: "I saw the report of her testimony, but who knew that under that helmet, it was the wicked witch of the witness stand?"

XD

Ah, I'd suggest being careful with your spoilers there. It wouldn't do to have surprises ruined for people.

Good point. Spoilers hidden...even though they aren't too specific anyway.

I recently bought the first two games, but after playing the first two cases of Ace Attorney, I fell in love with the characters, humor, gameplay and plot. Edgeworth is such an awesome character, he has become my favourite video game character of all time.

That plus...

Phoenix/Edgeworth is so canon! [/fangirl moment]

Phoenix/Edgeworth? Uh-uh. :p Phoenix/Maya is the most obvious one :p, especially in JfA.

Speaking of which, I love how there's even a shipper in the games, because in JfA
Pearl thinks Phoenix and Maya are in love.

I need to play one. D:

So lazy~.

You'll better start playing from the first one. Otherwise I think you'll get lost. ^^;;

Geo: No no no. It's so obvious Nick and Miles have a thing for each other, but it's more obvious in Edgeworth's case. Though I'd have to say the fact that
Phoenix studied law so he could go and find out what happened with Edgeworth becoming a prosecutor and not an attorney after all those years
is a clear sign that he's also interested in Miles. ;D

Not reading your JFA spoiler because I haven't started that game yet. ^^;;

Maya's like a little sister to Nick though, I don't see anything more than that.

JfA does a decent job of explaining backstory via flashbacks and stuff, but yeah, it's better to play them in order.

Heh, we posted at the same time.

Here's some PW fanart for your enjoyment:

And a little sketch of mine I did a couple days ago:

Phoenix and Mia would be a great shipping if Mia wasn't, you know, dead and stuff. :p

Swimming, anyone?

Gant is the best character in the game

END OF!

Hey, a tidbit about JfA to whet your appetite: There's still more development for Edgeworth in it, as well as more about his past.

i only have the first game, and although its really really fun, is it worth the high price for just a few cases... i love the game but i love money too... im conflicted...

There are 5 cases in the game. Is it really still that high? I got my copy of the first game on sale for $19.99 at EBGames (a new copy, not a used one) a while back. And JfA is only something like $24.99 on Amazon.ca.

Actually I've been replaying the first two games. On the spirit medium case in JFA now. And does anyone else think the contradictions are a bit more vague in JFA than in the first one?

Sometimes it seems that way yeah.

Forgot to mention, great pic of Phoenix, Kasumi. And the other pics/comics were cool.

So you haven't played JfA yet? When you do, I guarantee you'll be wanting to do at least one fanart of Pearl. :p She's one of the most adorable game characters in recent memory.
