Without even looking. Now, that object will be your only weapon against a zombie invasion. Explain how screwed you are.

I picked up a banana peel. I can make them slip, but apart from that, I'm pretty screwed.
 
I picked up a shotgun, but I'm screwed when I run out of ammo.
 
I picked up the Andromeda galaxy but realized that this was impossible and than divided by zero.
 
No I mean actually pick up something that's in front of you.
 
I picked up something that creates a red dot of light on the wall.

I might trick them into thinking it's from a gun.
