Pikachu-Colored Pichu question

I have the Shiny event Pichu that unlocks the Spiky-eared pichu in Heart Gold/Soul Silver and it has outstanding potential, I was just wondering if I just got really lucky or if all of them are like that?
 
No, there are some pichus that are Pikachu-colored-Pichus but have not been marked as them. I have both, it and a PCP.
