Players of the North American and PAL versions of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum will be able to download the special Pikachu-colored Pichu from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from March 5 until March 26.

I just got it!
I'm now going to soft reset for IV's
and the event works even for Australian versions of the games.

This is awesome! I just downloaded it, but I think I might reset for good IV's or whatever. I'm so hyper! Maybe they'll do the same with the Jirachi...

This is a good one but if the IV's for Speed are not 31 then the whole point of resetting for IV's is lost! because it HAS to be 31 for speed!
I reseted today (haven't finished):
25/30/23/29/27-29/30
I need to get 31 for speed!

To be honest, I hate that this download is for DPP only. I don't have a second DS so I can't trade it to Heartgold. ):

Just find a friend with a DS that you can use for 5 minutes! Or, you can have someone on here help you by doing this... (you trade the PCP to them, then you get out Heartgold and they trade it to your heartgold). Of course, make sure it's someone you can trust, like someone with a bunch of posts and someone who's been a member of the forums for long enough.

It appears the answer is no, as I just tried myself and was given the "you've already received this gift..." message.

You may have to trash one of wonders cards in order to be able to download this event.

Thank you! I'm glad they are offering it over wi-fi for anyone who missed out on the Gamestop one, but it stinks that those of us who did get a Gamestop PCP can't get one of these too. Now I have to go and trade for one!

The only Pichu that I need now is the Gamestop one. I have the Spring 2010 now, and someone traded me the Movie 09 one, so the only one i'm missing is the gamestop one. Though I don't really need it...
