As we all know, over the years Ash's Pikachu has gone on Slimfast. Who's better the fat Pikachu or the Slim one?

Slim one. Fat one just looks ridiculous to me and was just a product of lesser animation technology, as proven by the shading and anatomical rendering of the newer version versus the old.

Oh but fat Pikachu is just so nostalgic. And I mean he never really was that fat in the anime. He has slimmed out just as his image has evolved and the drawing techniques have evolved. He wasn't nearly as bad as the original art for him, since he kinda had to stand up and perch on Ash's shoulder and walk around. I've never really spent time looking at the original art, but it's just so cute and hilarious.
 
I find fat!Pikachu to be cuter. I guess it's also nostalgic for me, though, but it may be because Pikachu had more of a personality back in Kanto, as well, and I associate that with fat!'chu.
 
Slim. Grown so used to it looking like that, seems more natural in appearance and movement.
Fat!Pika is still cute and full of nostalgia though.
 
I've noticed that Fatchu looks really awkward on Ash's shoulder, therefore, it's better :p

I prefer the chubby Pikachu. He's just so cute and I'd love to hug him.

The skinny one just seems... odd-looking to me. Perhaps because I stopped watching the anime early on.
 
Fat!chu and Pika!chu both have their uber cute moments, but I prefer Pika!chu's coloring :D

and the toys of fat looked kinda ugly
 
Slim Pikachu. Although the chubby one is adorable and, yes, nostalgic. Yet,Pikachu slimmed down and grew more fit as he traveled with Ash, and is now much more agile and still cute. I may be reading too much into it, but to me Slim Pikachu is a mark of its development from day one. Back when Ash had to drag it along on a clothesline.

Fat Pikachu looks weird and unnatural. So Slim then.
 
Personally, I like both forms, possibly skinny more since he's cuter, more developed, and shows how well he's trained with Ash. Humorously, though, I think he started to think he needed to lose weight in the Johto episode The Screen Actor's Guilt, when he got stuck in that hole Team Rocket led Togepi and Smoochum through. XD
 
they should be an either option in this poll 'cause I rly don't care whether hes a giant or hes mickey mouse :D
 
The change happened so fast that the fat one was gone before the first season if memory serves thus I feel no nostalgia for it. :p

slim because well i dont want to see a fat staticy ball of yellow riding on ashs shoulder and i mean look at fat pikachu! it has no shoulders!
 
I don't think it's fat nor skinning but chubby chunky cuddily.
